Ecommerce Store Manager & Developer — Build, Launch and Run an Online Store
Confidential employer
ABOUT THE ROLE
I run a registered business and I am launching an online store. You will be a direct
hire working 100% remotely from the Philippines. No agency, no middleman — you report
to me directly.
I need ONE person who owns the store end to end. Not a specialist for each task.
This will not stay limited to one store or one product line. The business is expanding,
and the right person will take on more as it grows.
WORKING HOURS — FLEXIBLE
Sunday to Thursday. Friday and Saturday off.
My core window is 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM GMT+4
= 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Philippine time.
You choose your daily commitment: 4, 6, or 8 hours per day — tell me what works for
you and we agree on it together. What I do need is a minimum 4-hour overlap inside my
core window, so we can actually talk during the day and not only by message.
PAY
USD 3.65 – 4.90 per hour, depending on years of experience and proven skills.
4 hrs/day = USD 292 – 390 per month
6 hrs/day = USD 438 – 585 per month
8 hrs/day = USD 585 – 780 per month
Two-week PAID trial first. Payment is transferred at the end of the trial so you can
confirm the system works before we commit long term. I pay on time, every time.
GROWTH AND COMMITMENT
The starting rate is a starting point, not a ceiling. It is reviewed and can be
increased after the first few months — but that increase is earned, not automatic.
What earns it is simple: how reliable you are, how hard you actually work, and whether
I can depend on you without checking behind you.
I am not hiring for a project. I am hiring for the long term. This store is being built
to grow, and I want the person who builds it to still be running it years from now —
with more responsibility and more pay as it scales.
If you are looking for something short term, or a placeholder while you wait for
something better, please do not apply. I would rather wait for the right person than
replace the wrong one in three months.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. BUILD THE STORE
- Develop and launch the store (Shopify preferred; open to other platforms if you can
justify why)
- DESIGN IT PROPERLY. I do not want a default theme with the demo content swapped out.
A template is a starting point, not the finished job. Show me you can shape layout,
spacing, typography and visual hierarchy into something that looks like a real brand.
- Set up domain and business email from scratch (DNS, records, mailbox, connect to the
store)
2. PAYMENT AND CHECKOUT
- Research and recommend the right payment gateway for my market, then integrate it.
I have not locked one in — if you have experience choosing between gateways, tell me
how you would decide.
- Set up Cash on Delivery — it is essential in my market
- Configure checkout end to end and test the full flow yourself before it goes live
3. SEO AND PRODUCT COPY — THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART
- Keyword research: find the terms real buyers search for, not generic ones
- Write product titles, descriptions and meta content built around those keywords
- On-page SEO: URLs, alt text, collection pages, internal linking
- The copy must do two jobs at once: rank in search AND convert the reader into a buyer
4. DAILY OPERATIONS
- Stock levels and inventory accuracy
- Order processing and fulfillment follow-through
- Pricing and margin maintenance
- Product entry: variants, options, images, collections, metafields
- Reorder BEFORE we run out — I should never hear "we're out of stock" from a customer
first
5. PROCUREMENT (PHASE 2)
Phase 1 products are sourced locally. After that you will handle:
- Placing orders with international suppliers
- Following the order through production and dispatch
- Managing the email thread with suppliers and freight forwarders until the shipment
arrives
- Keeping me updated with a clear status, not a forwarded email chain
6. REPORTING
You will work against KPIs agreed at the start of the trial. Weekly reporting is part
of the role.

SKILLS I AM LOOKING FOR
ESSENTIAL
- Shopify development: theme customization, sections, page structure, page speed
(basic Liquid is a strong plus)
- Visual design ability — a page that looks designed, not assembled
- Payment gateway research, integration and checkout configuration
- Keyword research with real tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Keyword Planner)
- SEO copywriting for product and collection pages
- Product data structure: variants, options, collections, metafields, tags
- Inventory, order management and reorder discipline
- Domain, DNS and business email setup
- Strong written English — you will write everything the customer reads
STRONG PLUS
- Conversion rate optimization: product page layout, trust signals, checkout friction,
cart abandonment recovery
- Mobile-first optimization — most of my traffic will be phones
- Product photography workarounds: AI-generated visuals, mockups, lifestyle imagery
- Image optimization: compression, alt text, consistent aspect ratios
- Klaviyo or email flows: welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back
- GA4, Meta Pixel, Conversions API, Google Search Console
- Shipping and fulfillment configuration: rates, zones, courier integration, tracking
notifications
- Returns, refunds and customer service workflows
- Content and blog SEO — building organic traffic without paid ads
- Supplier communication and international freight follow-up
- Reporting: turning store data into a weekly summary I can act on
- Experience with restricted or sensitive advertising categories on Meta or Google
TOOLS I EXPECT YOU TO BE COMFORTABLE WITH
Shopify admin, Google Sheets or Excel, Canva or equivalent, a keyword research tool,
and one project or task tracker.
IMPORTANT — READ THIS
Some of what I sell falls under restricted advertising categories on Meta and Google,
so paid ads will be limited. Growth will come from SEO, content and email . If you have
handled restricted categories before, say so. If you have not, say that honestly — I
will not hold a gap in experience against you, but I will hold dishonesty against you.
I will share the full details of the product range with shortlisted applicants.
