About the Role

We run multiple YouTube channels and need a skilled video editor to join our team. Scripts and voiceovers are provided, your job is to bring them to life through high-energy, retention-focused editing.

What We're Looking For

We want every video to feel dynamic, premium, and high-retention, never basic. Specifically:

1. Pacing

Cut all dead air and filler
Keep every clip tight, no long static visuals
Smooth, intentional flow throughout

2. Movement

Add light zoom/motion to static images
Use subtle transitions only, nothing distracting
Visuals should always feel alive, never flat

3. Sound Design (critical)

Sound effects on every image transition (appear/disappear)
Impact sounds for dramatic or emphasized moments
No silent visual swaps, sound should enhance energy without overpowering it

4. Visual Sync

If a person is mentioned, show that exact person
If an event is mentioned, show that exact event
No random or filler B-roll

5. Retention

Pattern interrupts every 5-8 seconds (cuts, zooms, text, sound)
Shorts must hook viewers in the first 2 seconds
