I’m looking for a Senior Software Architect / Technical Lead to join me in building and scaling a modern software platform for property management companies.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. I’m not looking for someone who simply manages developers or spends most of their time in meetings. I want a strong engineer who can think architecturally, write excellent code, solve difficult technical problems, and lead a development team while moving quickly.

We’re building software and AI-powered automations that handle complex property management workflows, so the work involves real-world integrations, automation, data synchronization, multi-tenant architecture, and plenty of interesting edge cases.

What You’ll Do
Architect & Build
Own the technical architecture for scalable, multi-tenant SaaS applications.
Design systems that support both standardized workflows and client-specific customization.
Make thoughtful architectural decisions without overengineering.
Build prototypes and turn ideas into production-ready solutions.
Build Complex Integrations
Design and maintain integrations with property management platforms such as Rent Manager, AppFolio, Yardi, and Buildium.
Work with APIs, webhooks, authentication systems, data synchronization, and third-party services.
Develop reliable strategies for handling inconsistent or incomplete external data.
Automation & AI
Design resilient web scraping and browser automation systems when native APIs aren't available.
Leverage modern AI development tools to dramatically accelerate development.
Use Claude, Claude Code, AI agents, and AI-powered IDEs as part of your everyday engineering workflow.
Know when to trust AI-generated code—and, more importantly, when to challenge, test, refactor, or reject it.
Stay Hands-On
Write production code.
Debug complex issues.
Review pull requests.
Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks.
Improve testing, monitoring, reliability, and production performance.
Be willing to jump into the codebase rather than simply delegate.
Lead & Mentor
Provide technical direction to other developers.
Establish and maintain strong engineering standards.
Review architecture and code for quality, security, and maintainability.
Help the team move quickly without sacrificing long-term stability.

I’m looking for someone who can take ambitious product ideas and turn them into simple, practical technical solutions.

You should be comfortable pushing back when you believe there’s a better or simpler approach. I value engineers who can say, “There’s a much easier way to build this,” and then explain why.

You understand that AI can make you dramatically faster—but engineering judgment is still essential.
AI-Native Engineering Is Important

I’m specifically looking for someone who has embraced the new generation of AI-assisted development.

You should be comfortable using tools like Claude and Claude Code to:

Explore unfamiliar codebases
Generate and refactor code
Build prototypes quickly
Debug issues
Automate repetitive engineering tasks
Work with AI agents

But this isn’t about blindly accepting AI-generated code. You need enough technical depth to audit AI output, identify security and architectural problems, test thoroughly, and maintain high engineering standards.

Work Schedule & Compensation

Position: Senior Software Architect / Technical Lead
Employment: Full-Time
Schedule: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST, Monday–Friday
Hours: 40 hours/week
Rate: $25 USD/hour (~$4,000/month)
Location: Remote
Preferred: Philippines, but open to qualified candidates internationally outside the U.S.
