About the Role

Enablement Team • Reports to Business Solutions Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY
The Software Engineer is responsible for the development, support, and continuous improvement of the organization's internally developed business applications. This role partners closely with Product Engineering, Software Engineering, and the Director of Enablement to develop and maintain key proprietary applications across every stage, from early concept through full implementation.
The position serves as the primary engineering resource for applications developed on the Replit platform while leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools, including Cursor, to rapidly build, maintain, and improve internal software solutions.
This is a dynamic, fast-moving role suited to someone who is comfortable operating with a high degree of self-management and creative problem-solving. The person in this role will work in close, continuous feedback loops with users and leadership, will meet multiple times per week to discuss product direction and strategy, and will be expected to move quickly without sacrificing the quality of what ships. Strong written and verbal communication is essential: this person must be able to distill technical ideas and solutions into plain, clear language that non-technical stakeholders can readily understand.

WORKING STYLE & EXPECTATIONS
● Operates with a high degree of autonomy and self-management across a fast-changing, evolving set of priorities.
● Brings creative, resourceful problem-solving to ambiguous or open-ended requests.
● Comfortable receiving continuous, ongoing feedback from users and organizational leadership, and iterating quickly in response.
● Able to sustain a fast pace of delivery while maintaining a high bar for quality and impact.
● Participates in multiple meetings per week with product and leadership stakeholders to align on strategy and prioritization for proprietary applications.
● Translates technical concepts, tradeoffs, and solutions into plain language that non-technical users and leadership can easily understand.

TYPICAL DEVELOPMENT WORKFLOW
This role follows an established, feedback-driven development cycle designed to move quickly from idea to working software:
● Ideas, feedback, and enhancement requests are captured as issues in Linear.
● Linear issues feed directly into the development environment — primarily Replit, with Cursor used as needed.
● Agentic coding tools are used to stand up new applications and iterations quickly, without compromising quality.
● Completed work closes the loop back in Linear, and the requesting user is notified of what was implemented and how it addresses their original feedback.
● Throughout the cycle, updates and outcomes are communicated in plain, non-technical language so stakeholders always understand progress and impact.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
