Exchange Life is a fast-growing e-commerce travel jewelry brand. We sell collectible country charms for travelers, with new product lines launching soon. Our content team of editors, filmmakers, and creators works fully remotely across the world.
This role is a starting point, and we're straight about that — it's focused work editing headline videos to a proven format. But it's a starting point on a team that promotes from the inside. Many of our editors have been with us two or more years, and the ones who started here are now the people briefing everyone else.
Where You'll Be in Six Months
AI Advanced Editor.
That's the next title, and it's the step most of our strong headline editors make inside their first six months. An AI Advanced Editor works on our highest-leverage creative: AI-assisted video, hook development, and the ad formats we scale behind. You stop working purely to a template and start building the ones other people follow.

What You'll Earn
Base: $5 USD/hour
Performance bonuses: $300–$800/month, paid per winning creative — when a video you cut hits our performance thresholds or scales on paid, you get paid for it
There's no cap on how good your month can be
What Success Looks Like
Within three to six months, you're consistently producing headline videos that perform on both paid and organic channels — 50%+ thumb-stop rates and 30%+ hold rates — and iterating on winning formats without needing day-to-day direction.
Responsibilities
Edit TikTok and Reels headline content optimized for hook rate, retention, and watch time
Review past edits daily, identify what is and isn't working, and apply those lessons
Work with the marketing team to test new creative angles and iterate on proven formats
Turn work around quickly and communicate proactively each day
Track TikTok and Instagram trends and apply them where relevant
Requirements
A recent portfolio of short-form edits (ideally 20+ from the past few months)
Ability to break down why a viral video or high-performing ad worked
Comfortable reading performance metrics (hook rate, retention, watch time) and adjusting accordingly
Skilled in CapCut Pro or a comparable editing tool
Strong written and spoken English, and the ability to work independently
Takes ownership and applies feedback consistently
Preferred
Experience editing for e-commerce brands
Exposure to AI video tools, talking heads, or voiceover formats
Experience interpreting paid ad metrics

Independent contractor engagement, paid in USD
