REMOTE PERSONAL INJURY LITIGATION PARALEGAL
Cardona Law Firm, APC, a California plaintiff-side law firm, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal based in the Philippines. This is a full-time, remote position supporting the firm’s California personal injury litigation practice.
The ideal candidate has excellent written and verbal English skills, strong attention to detail, and experience supporting U.S.-based attorneys in litigation matters.
Responsibilities:
Draft complaints, discovery requests and responses, deposition notices, subpoenas, and proofs of service.
Assist with drafting motions, oppositions, declarations, and other court filings.
Calendar and monitor discovery, motion, deposition, expert, and trial deadlines.
Coordinate depositions, medical examinations, mediations, expert inspections, and court appearances.
Obtain and organize medical records, billing records, police reports, employment records, and other evidence.
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, experts, and court personnel.
Maintain organized electronic case files and update case-management software.
Assist with settlement demands, mediation briefs, exhibit binders, witness lists, and trial preparation.
Provide clients with regular case updates.
Complete other litigation and administrative assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
At least two years of experience supporting a U.S. personal injury or civil litigation law firm is preferred.
Familiarity with California personal injury litigation, discovery, and court procedures is strongly preferred.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Strong legal writing, proofreading, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple cases, and meet strict deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, and cloud-based case-management systems.
Reliable computer, high-speed internet connection, and a quiet professional workspace.
Experience working remotely with a U.S.-based law firm is preferred.
Spanish fluency is a plus but not required.
Schedule:
Full-time remote position.
Must be available during the firm’s regular business hours in the Pacific Time Zone.
