Social Media Strategist (WFH / Remote)
Confidential employer
Full-time | Remote Setup/Work from Home
Working hours: 9am to 6pm SGT
Salary: SGD 800 - 1,200
About the role
Trident Digital is one of the fastest growing marketing agencies for financial advisors and real estate leaders in Singapore. Our clients are top producers in their field, working in trust-based markets where the people who win are the ones their audience already knows, likes and trusts before the first conversation ever happens. That's what they pay us to build.
This role owns that side of the business. You'll be the strategist behind our clients' brands: d ---------- what each client should stand for, what angles will make their market remember them, and what content gets made to build that authority month after month. Then you'll sit in front of the client and defend it. We're not hiring a content scheduler. We're hiring someone who can look at a financial advisor's or real estate agent's brand and say "here's why nobody remembers you, and here's what we're doing instead."
What the setup looks like
You'll work closely with our strategy team, ops manager, projects manager and creative team. Each client gets a real strategy, not a recycled template. Main platforms are Facebook and Instagram, with TikTok and YouTube as secondary. Market is Singapore. Niches are financial advisory and real estate — trust-based industries where the brand does the heavy lifting long before any pitch. Depending on the client, the end goal is winning clients or recruiting new team members, and your job is building the kind of presence that makes either one easier.
What you'll do
- Turn each client's positioning, audience and goals into a clear content strategy: what they stand for, what angles to hit, what to make
- Lead client calls as the strategy contact: present directions, run brainstorms, handle pushback, and keep clients aligned and confident
- Direct the creative team: give direction clear enough to execute without a second meeting, and review outputs against the strategy
- Review performance: spot which angles and formats are working, kill what isn't, and adjust the plan based on evidence
- Keep every client's strategy on track: make sure what gets produced actually follows the direction set, and flag drift or gaps early before they cost results
How you'll be measured
Brand growth and client confidence. Clients whose authority and presence visibly grow — stronger positioning, growing reach, content their market actually engages with and remembers. And clients who renew because they can feel the strategy working. You'll run insights calls with clients to review whether the strategy is delivering — and adjust when it isn't. If you'd rather be measured on outcomes than on how many posts went out, you'll enjoy this.
You'll do well here if you
- Think in brand outcomes first: you ask "what does this client need to be known for?" before you ask "what should we post?"
- Can walk into a client call, present a direction, and hold your ground when it's challenged—with reasoning, not stubbornness
- Study why a piece of content worked, not just that it worked
- Give creatives feedback that makes the work better, not just different
- Communicate proactively. Clients and the team should never have to chase you for an update
This is not for you if you
- Think strategy means a content calendar with theme days
- Have freelance clients or side hustles competing for your focus. This has to be your main thing, because split attention shows in the work
- Chase trends for their own sake. A trending format that doesn't fit a financial advisor's positioning is a distraction, not a strategy
- Avoid client-facing pressure. Presenting, defending and realigning is half this job
No hard feelings either way. We'd rather both sides know now.
Bonus points
- You've built content strategies for service professionals or personal brands
- Bigger bonus: financial advisors, insurance or real estate specifically
- Biggest bonus: you've done it for the Singapore market
What you get
- Real ownership of strategy, working directly with the founder and clients — not three layers removed from the decisions
- Your strategies run on real accounts with real stakes. You see whether your thinking works, fast
- A team that invests in growth: internal masterminds, sponsored courses, and overseas team trips
- Room to grow into a head of strategy role as the agency scales
