Job Overview
We are looking for a confident, persistent, and highly organized Outbound Sales Development Representative to introduce RingRadar to horse show organizers and generate new sales opportunities.
This is an end-to-end outbound sales development role. You will research horse shows and organizations, identify the appropriate decision-makers, build and maintain prospect lists, make outbound calls, qualify potential customers, and conduct product demonstrations for interested prospects.
Your primary responsibility will be to create new sales opportunities for RingRadar. You will contact prospective customers by phone, learn how they currently manage their shows, explain how RingRadar may be able to help, and schedule and conduct online product demonstrations.
This role requires someone who is comfortable making a high volume of calls, speaking with new people throughout the day, handling rejection professionally, following up consistently, learning our product in depth, and confidently presenting it to prospective customers.
You will be responsible for managing prospects through the initial outbound process—from identifying them through completing the demonstration and coordinating the appropriate next steps.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect List Building: Research upcoming horse shows, equestrian organizations, and other potential customers using websites, event calendars, association directories, social media, search engines, and other online sources.
Contact Research: Identify the show managers, organizers, secretaries, or other decision-makers responsible for selecting event management software.
Contact Information Collection: Find and verify accurate phone numbers, email addresses, event details, and other relevant information for each prospect.
CRM Data Entry: Add new prospects to our CRM with accurate, complete, and consistently formatted information.
Outbound Calling: Make cold calls to horse show organizers and other qualified prospects across the United States.
Prospecting Outreach: Use phone calls, voi cemail , email , and text messages when appropriate to establish contact and generate interest.
Appointment Setting: Schedule discovery calls and online product demonstrations with interested prospects.
Product Demonstrations: Prepare for and conduct online demonstrations of the RingRadar platform, tailoring each presentation to the prospect’s needs, current processes, and show type.
Discovery: Ask thoughtful questions during demonstrations to understand the prospect’s challenges, requirements, buying process, and level of interest.
Objection Handling: Respond confidently and professionally to common questions, concerns, and objections during both cold calls and product demonstrations.
Next-Step Coordination: Establish a clear next step after each demonstration, such as scheduling a follow-up conversation, providing additional information, preparing pricing, or involving another member of the RingRadar team.
Follow-Up: Make timely follow-up calls and send personalized email s or text messages to prospects who have expressed interest or completed a demonstration.
Pipeline Management: Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects at different stages of the outbound sales process and ensure that promising opportunities do not fall through the cracks.
Additional Outreach: From time to time, assist with similar prospect research, list building, outbound outreach, demonstrations, or operational tasks for our sister software product.
Additional Team Support: From time to time, assist with other tasks based on the team’s needs, which may include customer support, software testing and quality assurance, documentation, data entry, and general operational work.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience in cold calling, appointment setting, outbound sales, lead generation, business development, product demonstrations, or a similar role.
Excellent spoken and written English.
A clear, professional, and friendly phone presence.
Comfortable researching prospects and building lead lists independently rather than relying entirely on prebuilt lists.
Resourceful in finding decision-makers and accurate business contact information online.
Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls and speaking with prospective customers throughout the day.
Able to remain positive, persistent, and professional when prospects are busy, uninterested, or initially resistant.
Strong listening skills and the ability to have a natural conversation rather than simply reading from a script.
Able to communicate a software product’s value clearly and concisely.
Comfortable learning a software platform in depth and demonstrating it over video calls and screen sharing.
Confident answering questions and guiding prospective customers through a structured but conversational product demonstration.
Comfortable asking questions, qualifying prospects, handling objections, and requesting a specific next step.
Highly organized and disciplined about prospecting, recording notes, scheduling follow-ups, and maintaining accurate CRM records.
Comfortable learning and using calling software, CRM systems, email , calendars, video conferencing platforms, spreadsheets, and online research tools.
Reliable high-speed internet connection, a quiet home workspace, a professional-quality headset, and a computer capable of conducting reliable video demonstrations.
Able to work consistently from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
Receptive to feedback, coaching, call reviews, demonstration reviews, and ongoing improvement.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience selling or demonstrating B2B software or SaaS products.
Experience owning multiple stages of the outbound process, from prospect research through product demonstration.
Experience calling small-business owners, event organizers, or association leaders in the United States.
Experience using a sales CRM such as Close, HubSpot, Salesforce, or a similar platform.
Experience with outbound calling software, sales dialers, email outreach, or SMS follow-up.
Experience using online research tools to identify companies, events, decision-makers, and contact information.
Familiarity with the equestrian or horse show industry.
Experience researching prospects and building, cleaning, and prioritizing lead lists.
A track record of meeting prospecting, appointment-setting, demonstration, or sales pipeline targets.
Why Join RingRadar?
Opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, industry-transforming company.
Work remotely while making a direct impact on horse shows across the country.
Collaborate with a passionate, dedicated team that values innovation and customer success.
Compensation
Compensation for this independent contractor role includes:
Base compensation: $600 USD per month.
Demo commission: $10 USD for each completed qualified product demonstration.
Monthly target: 40 completed qualified demonstrations, equivalent to $400 in target commission.
On-target earnings: $1,000 USD per month when the monthly target is achieved.
Uncapped commission: There is no limit on the number of qualified demonstrations for which commission may be earned.
To qualify for commission, a demonstration must be attended by a legitimate prospective customer who reasonably fits RingRadar’s target customer profile. The representative must conduct the demonstration, record appropriate notes and outcomes in the CRM, and complete any required follow-up steps.
Commission is paid for completed qualified demonstrations, not merely for demonstrations that are scheduled but not attended.
Performance expectations may be adjusted during the initial training and ramp-up period as the representative learns the product and outbound process.
