WORDPRESS & MARKETING AGENCY — REMOTE

Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time
Salary: $1,176 USD per month

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Mighty Mo! Design Co. is hiring a full-time Project Manager to manage WordPress, website, support, and SEO projects from start to finish.

You will own project status, tasks, deadlines, budgets, client communication, team coordination, QA, and follow-through. You should always know what needs to happen next, who owns it, whether the project is on track, and what needs to be escalated.
We need someone proactive, highly organized, comfortable leading client calls, and capable of identifying and solving problems without constant supervision.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. PROJECT OWNERSHIP

  • Manage multiple WordPress, website, support, and SEO projects.
  • Understand contracts, scope, priorities, deadlines, and budgets
  • Translate requests into clear tasks, owners, deadlines, and acceptance criteria.
  • Keep project-management systems accurate and up to date, including tasks, deadlines, priorities, and project status.
  • Proactively follow up on blocked or overdue work and keep projects moving toward completion.

2. TIMELINE, SCOPE, AND BUDGET

  • Track progress, hours, and budgets against estimates
  • Identify scope changes and risks early
  • Flag potential delays or budget issues before they become problems
  • Escalate issues with clear options and recommendations

3. CLIENT COMMUNICATION

  • Lead client communication by email , phone, and video
  • Explain project status, timelines, responsibilities, and next steps clearly
  • Do your research, then ask direct, thoughtful questions when a request is unclear
  • Set realistic expectations around timing, scope, and deliverables
  • Handle difficult conversations professionally
  • Send clear recaps after important calls
  • Respond to client questions within 1 business day
  • Excellent spoken English is required.

4. TEAM COORDINATION

  • Coordinate developers, designers, SEO specialists, and other team members.
  • Ensure tasks and handoffs contain the necessary context.
  • Follow up when commitments are missed and clarify priorities.

5. QUALITY ASSURANCE

  • Review and test work before presenting it to clients.
  • Confirm deliverables meet requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Check website changes across relevant devices and browsers.
  • Identify incomplete, broken, or missing work and confirm corrections.

You do not need to be a developer, but you must be comfortable reviewing websites carefully.

DAILY AND WEEKLY EXPECTATIONS

Daily

  • Be online and responsive from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central
  • Submit a daily status report describing what you completed that day, blockers, and what you’ll complete the next day
  • Review projects, tasks, deadlines, and communication
  • Follow up on overdue or blocked work
  • Keep project-management systems updated
  • Communicate urgent risks or delays as soon as they are identified
  • Track time accurately
  • Ensure developer workloads align with capacity

Weekly

  • Review the health of every assigned project
  • Update timelines, priorities, tasks, and budgets
  • Identify projects that are on track, at risk, or off track
  • Prepare project updates and confirm clients know what is complete, next, and needed from them.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, and team members
  • Confident leading client calls
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and attention to detail
  • Proactive problem-solving and risk identification
  • Comfortable holding teammates accountable
  • Able to work independently
  • Reliable internet, professional workspace, and dependable availability

STRONGLY PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of project-management experience
  • WordPress, web development, SEO, or marketing agency experience
  • Experience with ClickUp, Teamwork, Asana, ---------- , or similar tools
  • Familiarity with hosting, domains, plugins, WooCommerce, SEO, and QA
  • Experience tracking budgets or estimated vs. actual hours

THIS ROLE IS PROBABLY NOT A FIT IF YOU:

  • Wait for updates instead of proactively seeking them
  • Avoid difficult conversations
  • Depend on a manager to identify problems
  • Lose track of commitments or client requests
  • Need detailed instructions before taking action
  • Are uncomfortable with budgets, timelines, contracts, or task details
  • Want to work another full-time job during these hours

HOW TO APPLY
Submit:
1. Your resume detailing your specific project management experiences
2. A short cover letter
3. A two- to three-minute video (Loom or similar - see details below)

In Your Video, Answer:

  • Why are you interested in this position?
  • What project-management responsibilities have you personally owned?
  • How comfortable are you leading client calls?
  • Tell us about a time you handled a missed commitment or difficult client issue.

Please do not use AI-generated answers. We want to understand how you personally think and communicate. Applicants who advance will discuss their answers during a live interview. Every complete application is reviewed personally by our hiring manager.

IMPORTANT
We need more than a personable communicator. We need someone who combines strong communication with operational discipline—someone who tracks commitments, follows up, identifies risks early, and takes ownership of moving projects forward.

If that sounds like you, we would like to hear from you.
