Instagram & Facebook Engagement VA – Australian Local Businesses

We are an Australian business looking for a reliable Social Media Engagement VA to help us grow genuine relationships with local businesses on Instagram and Facebook .

This is NOT a content creation or posting role. Our content is already handled.

Your main job is to actively engage with potential customers and grow a relevant community around our brand.

What you'll do

• Find suitable Australian local businesses on Instagram and Facebook
• Initially focus on Perth businesses such as barbers, hair salons, beauty salons and similar businesses
• Follow relevant business accounts
• Like and engage with their recent content
• Watch Stories and engage when appropriate
• Leave genuine, natural comments that relate specifically to the post
• Monitor businesses that follow us or engage with us
• Keep a simple record of businesses we have engaged with
• Identify and report businesses that appear interested or become warm prospects
• Help grow our following with relevant Australian business owners

What we DON'T want

• Mass following or unfollowing
• Bots or automated engagement software
• Generic comments such as "Great post ????"
• Copy-and-paste comments
• Spam
• Buying followers
• Cold sales DMs unless specifically requested

Quality matters more than the number of actions you complete.

Who we're looking for

You should:

• Have experience managing or growing Instagram accounts
• Understand natural social media engagement
• Be comfortable researching businesses
• Have good written English
• Be able to tell the difference between a good prospect and an irrelevant account
• Be organised and reliable
• Be comfortable working independently from clear instructions

Experience engaging with Australian, UK, US or other English-speaking business accounts is a bonus.

Hours

Approximately 1 hour per day, Monday to Friday.

We will initially start with 5 hours per week.

There is potential for more hours and responsibilities if the role works well.
