About the Role

UGC Brand Manager (Part-time, Remote)

We're looking for a part-time UGC Brand Manager for a fast-growing UGC creator. Your job is to find us brand deals and help us go viral. That's it.

Remote role. We're based in Bangkok and prefer someone in Thailand or the Philippines for timezone overlap.

WHAT WE MAKE

Every video follows the same shape: a reaction hook in the first 3 seconds filmed by our creator, a screen demo of the app in the middle, and a benefit or call to action at the end. Here's an example account: ----------

Every brand we work with is an app or software. We don't work with physical products. We'll train you on the UGC side, so you don't need to know it on day one.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Platforms. Log in to Sideshift and the other platforms we're on. Review new campaigns, apply to the 10 best, and manage the inbox, since brands often reach out to us first. Check rates, read the brief, watch the content references, and look the brand up on Instagram and TikTok to see whether other creators are already making content for them.

Instagram outbound. Send 10-15 pitch messages to brands using our template. Send 10 DMs to UGC creators asking what deals they're working with. Follow up with anyone who hasn't replied after 3 days.

---------- . Work our UGC communities. Read the deals channels, apply to anything that fits, post asking for referrals where it's allowed, and DM active creators who look like they're having success to find out what's paying well right now.

Tracker. Fill it out at the end of every day. What you applied to, who you pitched, who replied, and where each deal stands.

Referrals convert best, direct brand DMs second, platform applications third. On a short day you keep the referral and DM work.

JUDGING DEALS

The core of this job is d ---------- which opportunities are worth our time.

Our ideals are a CPM of $1.50 or above and a base of around $700 a month or more, but those trade against each other. A $2 CPM with a $500 base is fine.

What doesn't flex: other creators need to already be going viral with that brand, the content has to be straightforward to replicate, and the idea has to be easy to understand. A calorie tracker or an AI image generator works. Anything abstract doesn't.

Skip campaigns with no reference videos, campaigns that are 100% scripted, and anything over 45 videos.

WHEN A BRAND REPLIES

Take initiative and move the conversation forward. Get the brief, the reference videos, the pay terms, the deliverable count, and the deadline. Look the app up on social and see what's already working for them. Then make a call on whether we should pursue it and bring it to me with your reasoning. I confirm terms and contracts, not you.

ONCE WE'RE IN A CAMPAIGN

Our creator never talks to brands and never reads briefs. Everything reaches her through you, in plain simple language: the video styles to copy with links, the most viral videos for that brand that we can realistically remake, the app link, the pay rate, and any hard requirements like tags or hashtags.

From there you're managing the production side, and this is where a lot of the value of the role sits. One of your key responsibilities is helping us go viral. You're effectively our social media manager for that account: telling us which hooks to use, which formats to copy, what's trending in that brand's space, and how to get the most views out of every video.

Some apps need screen demo footage of the product in use. When they do, you record it. Case by case, not every brand.

COMPENSATION

Base retainer paid monthly, plus 10% commission on every deal you close. Deals typically run $500 to $2,000+.

Most of our deals pay on a CPM, so you're directly incentivised on views. A video that hits 1 million views at a $2 CPM pays $2,000, and your commission on that is $200. At a $3 CPM it's $300. The more we blow up, the more you make.

Part-time contract role, around 10 hours a week to start. You set your own hours, but you need to get results. KPIs are measured: messages sent, applications submitted, replies, and deals signed.

YOU'RE A FIT IF YOU

Have experience in marketing, social media, influencer work, or brand partnerships. Can find a brand's marketing contact without being handed a list. Communicate clearly in written English, since you'll be dealing with US brand managers. Can make a judgment call and defend it. Can hold a daily routine without supervision.

Hands-on UGC or brand partnership experience is a strong plus, either as a creator yourself or from the brand, agency, or talent side. Not a hard requirement if the rest is there.

YOU'RE NOT A FIT IF YOU

Plan to work the inbox reactively instead of proactively hunting for deals. Need close supervision to stay on a daily routine. Want a role with no measured output.

TO APPLY

Send me one or two examples of UGC or brand partnership deals you've sourced or managed, including the brand name, creator size, and outcome. If you don't have those, tell me about the closest thing you've done.

Then tell me how you'd find me 3 new deals in your first week, plus your availability and rate expectation.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Alongside this account, I run a UGC mentorship program for people landing their first brand deals. As this role grows, I want you sourcing opportunities I can pass to students in the program.

If you want to eventually manage a pipeline of brand relationships across a network of creators rather than a single account, this is the role that gets you there.
