About the Role

General Job Description:

Join the growing and adventurous team at Adventure Life to research and write quality content about the amazing destinations we visit and adventure trips we arrange. Work with the Content Manager and Marketing Director to draft engaging and concise copy for use in Adventure Life website content, digital and print marketing materials, and other marketing channels.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Write original copy for digital content, including website articles, landing pages, engagement email s, and print marketing materials that match the Adventure Life brand, style, and voice, incorporating keyword research and SEO best practices.
  • Work with the Content Manager and marketing staff to grow the company’s network of travelers and followers
  • Collaborate with the Adventure Life staff, sales team, suppliers, and marketing staff to research and collect substantive resources
  • Develop copy for downloadable travel guides (“lead magnets”), internal staff resources, and other client-facing materials
  • Responsible for the publication of staff-produced blog and article resources
  • Assist in management and implementation of image assets collected from staff and influencer sources

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Computer literacy including familiarity with Google Suite tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong web research skills
  • Basic knowledge of SEO/GEO principles and keyword research
  • Critical thinking skills to assess the accuracy of written content relevant to Adventure Life product
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to produce quality written content tailored to a target audience (use of AI may be ok in certain situations, but predominantly we are looking for someone to write original content)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple writing projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant copywriting experience
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and web traffic metrics/analytics a plus
  • Travel industry knowledge or experience

This is a full-time, 40 hrs/wk position scheduled by the Content Manager within Adventure Life business hours of 7AM-7PM Mountain Standard Time Monday through Friday. This position is fully remote.
