We are looking for an experienced book editor and Amazon KDP publishing specialist to help prepare a book titled Who Cares for the Caregiver? for publication. The ideal candidate should be able to handle content editing, grammar and proofreading, book formatting, and Amazon KDP publishing. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail and experience working with manuscripts intended for professional publication.

Key Responsibilities
Content Editing
Review the manuscript for clarity, structure, flow, consistency, and readability.
Identify areas that may need strengthening, clarification, or restructuring.
Ensure the content is cohesive and maintains the author's intended voice and message.
Provide constructive editorial recommendations.

Grammar & Proofreading
Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and sentence structure.
Ensure consistent terminology, capitalization, and writing style throughout the manuscript.
Perform a thorough final proofread before publication.

Book Formatting
Format the manuscript professionally for Amazon KDP.
Ensure proper formatting of chapters, headings, page breaks, margins, fonts, spacing, and other book elements.
Prepare files suitable for both eBook and/or paperback publication, as needed.
Ensure the final formatted book meets KDP requirements.

Amazon KDP Publishing
Must have hands-on experience publishing books through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP).
Assist with uploading the manuscript and cover files.
Help ensure the book is properly set up for publication.
Assist with KDP publishing settings, metadata, categories, keywords, and other publishing requirements.
Review the KDP previewer and identify/fix any formatting issues before publication.

Qualifications
Proven experience as a book editor, copy editor, proofreader, or manuscript editor.
Strong command of English grammar and professional writing standards.
Experience formatting books for Amazon KDP.
Previous experience publishing books through a KDP account is highly preferred.
Excellent attention to detail.
Able to maintain the author's voice while improving the overall quality of the manuscript.
Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
Experience working on nonfiction, memoir, caregiving, healthcare, or personal-development books is a plus.
