About the Role
We create short-form video content for social media. We are looking for editors to join our team on a per-video basis.
You will be given everything you need — scripts, footage, and a full training course showing you exactly how we want the videos made. You are not expected to come up with ideas or write anything. Your job is to edit.
There is no fixed schedule. You make as many videos as you want, whenever you want.
How the Pay Works
$5 USD per completed video.
There is no limit on how many videos you can make. If you make 10 videos in a week, you get paid for 10. If you make 40, you get paid for 40.
Payment date: the 1st of every month, for all videos completed in the previous month.
Performance bonuses: on top of your $5 per video, you earn bonuses based on how well your videos perform. The better your videos do, the more you earn. This is explained in full during training.
Growth Opportunity
This starts as a part-time role.
If you do well — good quality, consistent output, reliable — there is a clear path to a full-time position paying $1,000–$2,000 USD per month.
We would much rather promote someone already on the team than hire from outside. Several of our people started exactly here.
Requirements
You must have a PC. This role cannot be done on a phone or tablet. A laptop or desktop computer is essential.
Stable internet connection. You will be downloading and uploading video files daily.
Basic video editing experience. You do not need to be an expert. If you can cut clips, add captions and sync audio, we can teach you the rest.
Good written English. Enough to read a script and understand feedback.
You must complete our training course before you make any videos. It takes 2–3 hours. This is unpaid, but it teaches you exactly what we want, and it is the difference between earning a little and earning a lot on this job.
What You Will Be Doing
Editing short-form videos (30 seconds to 3 minutes) for social media
Following a script we provide
Adding captions, B-roll and music to our standard
Making small changes when we give feedback
Delivering finished videos ready to post
Who This Suits
This is a good fit if you want flexible work you can fit around other commitments, and you want your income to depend on how much you put in rather than how many hours you sit at a desk.
It is not a good fit if you need a fixed monthly salary from day one, or if you want to work from a phone.
