Appointment Setter (Voice) — Calling U.S. Business Owners — Part-Time, Fixed Chicago Hours

Veritas Management Group is a U.S. fractional CFO and accounting firm. We help business owners — attorneys, construction contractors, and manufacturers — see their numbers clearly and make better decisions. We're small, direct, and we run on trust and follow-through.

The role
You'll call U.S. business owners from a list we provide and book them into a short financial review call with our CFO. That's the whole job: dials, conversations, booked appointments. You are the first voice these owners hear from us, so how you sound matters as much as what you say.

This is a voice role. Clear, neutral, confident spoken English is required. Owners will hang up on a hesitant caller in three seconds. If you've done U.S. cold calling before (real estate, solar, B2B, BPO outbound) and people rarely ask you to repeat yourself, this is for you.

What you'll do

Make 80–100 outbound calls per day from our list using our dialer
Follow our script and objection handling, and get better at it every week
Book qualified appointments directly onto our CFO's calendar
Log every call in our tracker: dials, conversations, outcomes, notes
Send a short end-of-day report that ends with a RISK line ("RISK: none" or what's at risk)
Join a 15-minute check-in with the CFO once a week

Requirements

1+ year of outbound calling to U.S. customers, B2B preferred
Fixed schedule: 4 hours a day, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM Chicago time (CST). No exceptions, no shifting.
Reliable internet, quiet workspace, USB headset
Comfortable with Google Sheets and a web dialer
You show up when you say you will. Reliability is the number one reason people fail in this role.
