About Platemates

Platemates is a growing food technology platform designed to help consumers discover, order, and save on food while helping restaurants grow without traditional high commission fees.

We are looking for a reliable, motivated, detail-oriented Social Media & Data Entry Virtual Assistant based in the Philippines to join our team on a long-term basis.

This is a hybrid position. You will help us grow Platemates by managing day-to-day social media activities while also researching restaurants and maintaining accurate business data.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media

Manage and schedule content for Instagram, Facebook , TikTok, and other social platforms
Create basic social media graphics using Canva
Repurpose existing videos and content into short-form social media posts
Write engaging captions and appropriate hashtags
Monitor comments, messages, and engagement
Research trending food, restaurant, and social media content
Help identify food influencers and potential content creators
Track basic social media performance and provide weekly reports

Restaurant Research & Data Entry

Research restaurants, food trucks, cafes, and other food businesses
Find and verify restaurant names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, menus, social media accounts, hours, categories, and other information
Enter and maintain restaurant information in spreadsheets and Platemates systems
Identify duplicate or inaccurate listings
Research restaurants that may be potential Platemates merchants
Keep databases organized and up to date
Perform general administrative and data-entry tasks

Other Responsibilities

Use ChatGPT and other AI tools to assist with research and content creation
Follow written procedures and instructions
Meet weekly productivity goals
Communicate clearly and consistently with the U.S.-based team
Take initiative and suggest ideas that can help Platemates grow

Requirements

Excellent written English
Strong attention to detail
Reliable internet connection and computer
Comfortable working with Google Sheets/Google Workspace
Experience with social media platforms
Basic Canva skills
Comfortable learning new software and web-based tools
Able to perform repetitive data-entry tasks accurately
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Previous VA, social media, research, or data-entry experience is preferred
