About the Role

I'm looking for a video editor for 10–15 minute narration-driven YouTube documentary/explainer videos.

Pay: $40 USD per video

Reference

----------

Please watch the reference before applying.

The reference is for the video editing style only — pacing, footage selection, transitions, news/research material, music, sound design, and overall flow.

You are NOT responsible for the 2D/motion graphics. A separate motion designer will handle those.

What You'll Do
Edit around the provided script/voice-over
Find copyright-safe / properly licensed stock footage
Find real footage, news clips, research imagery, articles, and documents relevant to the narration
Avoid random/generic stock when actual subject footage is available
Maintain strong pacing and smooth visual flow
Add music, SFX, transitions, zooms, crops, and basic effects
Integrate motion graphics provided separately
Adobe Premiere Pro ONLY

You must edit in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Final delivery must include:

Final exported video
Premiere Pro project file (.prproj)
All footage, images, audio, and assets used
Organized project files/bins
Portfolio REQUIRED

Do not apply without a portfolio.

When applying, send:

Your portfolio + 2–3 relevant editing examples
Confirmation that $40/video works for you
Confirmation that you use Adobe Premiere Pro
Your turnaround time
Confirmation that you can source copyright-safe footage yourself
Confirmation that you watched and understand the reference

I'm looking for someone for long-term consistent work if the quality is a good fit.
