Junior Marketing Virtual Assistant | Motivated & Detail-Oriented - US Hours
Confidential employer
Hello, we’re looking to hire a full-time Junior Marketing Virtual Assistant to support our agency with the day-to-day tasks that keep our clients’ marketing running smoothly.
We help ecommerce brands grow through paid ads, creative strategy, and better marketing systems.
We do not expect you to already know everything.
We’re open to someone who is still early in their career and may be a little raw. What matters much more to us is that you’re motivated, reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely willing to learn.
You’ll work alongside our team and learn by doing. You’ll help with research, creative coordination, reporting, organization, and general marketing support.
At first, you’ll receive more guidance. As you learn our systems and prove yourself, we’ll expect you to become more independent and take ownership of more tasks.
For the right person, this can be an opportunity to learn ecommerce marketing from inside an agency and eventually grow into a more specialized marketing or creative role.
We’re looking for someone with potential, not someone who already has everything figured out.
WHAT THIS ROLE ACTUALLY DOES
You’ll support the team across a mix of marketing and admin tasks.
You won’t be expected to own client accounts or make major marketing decisions on day one.
You’ll learn by helping the team, following instructions carefully, asking good questions, and gradually taking on more responsibility.
- Support the team with day-to-day marketing tasks across client accounts
- Research competitors, products, brands, and the Meta/Facebook Ad Library
- Organize creative assets, files, links, and documentation
- Help prepare creative briefs and gather product information
- Assist with pulling performance data and creating simple reports
- Coordinate tasks between designers, strategists, and other team members
- Keep project management tools and trackers up to date
- Upload, schedule, and organize ads and content
- Help with basic edits, formatting, and content organization
- Follow up on tasks and make sure things don’t get forgotten
- Handle general admin and marketing support when needed
- Take feedback from the team and apply it to your next task
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
We don’t expect perfection from day one.
We do expect effort, improvement, and attention to detail.
- You complete tasks accurately and on time
- You follow instructions carefully
- Your files, assets, and trackers stay organized
- Your research is thorough and useful
- You ask questions when you’re genuinely stuck instead of guessing
- You learn from feedback and avoid repeating the same mistakes
- You double-check your work before submitting it
- You communicate clearly and keep the team updated
- You become more independent as you learn
- Over time, you start taking ownership of recurring tasks
WHAT WE CARE MOST ABOUT
- Motivation - You genuinely want to learn, improve, and become good at what you do.
- Attention to detail - You notice small things. Names, numbers, offers, spelling, links, and formatting matter.
- Willingness to learn - You don’t need to know everything, but you need to be teachable and willing to figure things out.
- Reliability - If you say you’ll do something, we should be able to trust that it gets done.
- Organization - You keep tasks, files, and information organized and easy to find.
- Resourcefulness - Before immediately asking someone else, you’re willing to research, use Google or AI, and try to find an answer.
- Communication - You respond during working hours and tell us early if you’re stuck or falling behind.
- Ownership - Even as a junior, you care about whether the work is actually done correctly.
- Interest in marketing - You don’t need deep marketing knowledge yet, but you should genuinely want to learn how ecommerce brands grow online.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Previous agency experience is not required.
You also don’t need years of marketing experience.
We’re happy to consider someone early in their career if they show strong potential.
Relevant experience could include:
- Marketing
- Ecommerce
- Social media
- Content creation
- Virtual assistance
- Admin support
- Data entry
- Customer service
- Digital marketing
- Personal projects or self-taught marketing experience
You may already know some of these tools, or simply be willing to learn them:
- Google Sheets
- Notion
- Canva
- Meta Ads Library
- Meta Ads Manager
- ChatGPT
- Claude
- Asana, ClickUp, or similar project management tools
- Other research, organization, and AI tools
You do not need experience with every tool listed above.
If you’ve never used some of them before, that’s completely fine. We care more about how quickly you can learn.
Bonus if you have:
- Some experience with ecommerce or marketing
- Familiarity with Meta/Facebook ads
- Basic spreadsheet or reporting experience
- Experience organizing content or creative assets
- Experience working remotely with a team
WHO THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR
This role is probably not a fit if you:
- Don’t pay attention to details
- Regularly miss deadlines
- Need to be reminded repeatedly about the same tasks
- Don’t like researching or figuring things out
- Get defensive when receiving feedback
- Repeat the same mistakes without improving
- Have no interest in ecommerce or marketing
- Aren’t comfortable learning new tools
- Only want a short-term freelance job
- Want a role where you can do the same simple tasks forever without taking on more responsibility
We are happy to teach someone who doesn’t know something yet.
We are much less concerned with what you know today than how quickly you learn once you’re shown.
SCHEDULE
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Remote.
You should be able to communicate consistently during working hours and work well with an international team.
COMPENSATION
30,000 PHP/month
There is room to grow over time as your skills, reliability, and responsibilities increase.
QUESTIONS
1. What experience do you have with marketing, ecommerce, admin support, virtual assistance, or similar work? It’s okay if your experience is limited.
2. How do you stay organized when you have several tasks to complete?

4. What tools are you currently comfortable using? Rate your experience with each from 1 to 10.
5. Tell us about a time you made a mistake at work or school. What did you do after you noticed it?
IMPORTANT
To apply, start your application message with the word Detail on the first line.
Applications that do not follow this instruction will not be reviewed.
TRIAL TASK
Shortlisted applicants may be asked to complete 1 small paid trial task.
The task will help us understand how you research, organize information, follow instructions, and pay attention to details.
We aren’t expecting expert-level marketing knowledge.
We want to see how you think, how carefully you work, and how willing you are to figure things out.
The task won’t be long or time-consuming.

The exact path depends on your strengths and what you become good at.
We don’t promise promotions or specific timelines. Growth comes with increased skill, reliability, ownership, and responsibility.
If you’re early in your career but motivated, curious, detail-oriented, and hungry to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
You don’t need to come in knowing everything.
You do need to come in ready to learn.
