About the role:
We help small trade businesses (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and similar) in Ontario, Canada get a professional website built and launched — most of them have great reviews but no website at all. We're hiring an outbound cold caller to work through a pre-built list of Canadian business owners, using our proven call script, and book short demo calls to show off a free website preview we've already built for their business.

This is genuinely cold calling — not warm leads, not people expecting your call. If you're confident on the phone, don't rattle easily, and can follow a script while still sounding human, this is for you.

What you'll do:

Make outbound cold calls daily from the provided lead list, using our call script
Ask for the owner, deliver the opening hook, and book a short demo call (Zoom/Google Meet)
Log every call outcome in our tracker immediately after each call
Follow our objection-handling guide for common pushback
Send a short daily report: what you did today, what's planned tomorrow, any blockers
Hit a 2-week trial target of 1,000 outbound call attempts, while actually booking real demos — we're tracking both

What we're looking for:

Fluent, clear spoken English, comfortable holding a natural phone conversation (not reading word-for-word)
Prior cold-calling, telemarketing, appointment-setting, or BPO experience strongly preferred
Comfortable with a computer-based dialer, spreadsheets, and basic CRM tools
Reliable internet, a decent headset, and a quiet space to work
Available for an overlap with Eastern Time business hours (details discussed at interview)

Compensation:

CAD $5.00/hour base pay (~$3.65 USD), paid bi-weekly via Wise
$20 CAD commission per closed deal (demo booked & attended, and deposit received)
2-week paid trial; strong performers move to an ongoing role with room to grow hours and pay
