Short-Form Video Creator — TikTok & Reels

Carlo is a new personal finance app that combines money tracking with journaling, photos, reflections, and AI. We’re preparing to launch and I’m looking for one creative person to help figure out how Carlo should show up on TikTok and Instagram Reels.

This is a content creation job, not a virtual assistant or scheduling role.

Your main job is to make short-form videos people actually want to watch.

You’ll:

• Create and edit approximately 4–6 TikToks/Reels per week
• Develop hooks and concepts, not just execute instructions
• Turn screen recordings and product footage into compelling short-form content
• Create voiceovers, captions, cuts, and other elements appropriate for TikTok/Reels
• Follow trends without making the brand feel generic or forced
• Review performance and use what works to improve the next videos
• Experiment with very different approaches until we discover what resonates

Carlo is an unusually visual finance product, and you’ll have considerable creative freedom. Possible themes include money, life logging, journaling, AI, relationships, beautiful app design, and the experience of remembering your life through what you spent.

I’m looking for someone who:

• Has excellent taste and understands TikTok/Reels natively
• Has personally made short-form videos before
• Understands hooks, pacing, retention, captions, and storytelling
• Can edit polished vertical video
• Can work independently and bring me ideas
• Has strong written and spoken English
• Is comfortable experimenting and throwing away ideas that don’t work

You do not need a degree or years of professional marketing experience. A great personal TikTok account or portfolio is more interesting to me than a traditional résumé.
