US & Canada Bookkeeper / Accountant – Catch-Up Bookkeeping & Ongoing Support

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to work with our entertainment company on a long-term basis.

Our company operates a touring circus throughout Canada and is owned through a U.S.-based LLC (Florida). We are looking for someone reliable who can first help us reconstruct and catch up our 2025 bookkeeping, and then maintain our books on an ongoing basis.

Main responsibilities:

• Catch up and reconstruct our 2025 bookkeeping
• Categorize transactions from bank statements
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Reconcile ticket sales and other business revenue
• Reconcile Square payments and deposits
• Track business expenses
• Prepare accurate Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports
• Maintain our bookkeeping monthly going forward
• Organize the books so they are ready for our Canadian and U.S. tax professionals

Our situation:

We operate primarily in Canada, but the business is a Florida LLC. Revenue comes from ticket sales and on-site concession sales. We have U.S. and Canadian bank accounts and records available, including bank statements and Square reports.

Some receipts from 2025 are missing, so we need someone who is comfortable with catch-up / clean-up bookkeeping and reconstructing books primarily from bank statements and available records.

Ideal candidate:

• Strong bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks Online or similar software
• Experience working with U.S. companies
• Experience with Canadian bookkeeping is a major advantage
• Familiarity with GST/HST is a major advantage
• Experience preparing books for U.S. and Canadian tax filing is highly preferred
• Organized, responsive and comfortable asking questions when transactions need clarification

This is not just a one-time project. We are looking for someone we can trust and continue working with after the 2025 clean-up is completed.
