About the Role

We are seeking a Data Visualization Specialist to turn survey data into intuitive, interactive dashboards. You will own the full dashboard lifecycle - from cleaning raw survey datasets to delivering dashboards with actionable insights to key decision-makers. (Note: Our work focuses more on public opinion, social and policy research - not financial or corporate market research.)

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards using Google Data Studio (and other data visualization tools, as needed)

Clean, transform, and prepare data for reporting and visualization using Excel, Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, SQL, or other data manipulation tools

Take full ownership of data visualization projects, including gathering requirements, defining metrics, and delivering dashboards aligned with research objectives and client needs

Maintain high standards for accuracy, consistency, and usability through thorough data checks, testing, and proofreading

Ensure dashboards effectively communicate research findings and highlight relevant trends through clear visual storytelling

Work with clients to refine dashboards to fully meet their needs

Continuously improve existing dashboards based on feedback and evolving needs

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher

2-4 years of hands-on data visualization experience, specifically working with survey data, public opinion polling, academic research, or policy datasets

Proficiency in Google Data Studio (Looker Studio) and strong skills in data transformation using Excel, Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, SQL, Power Query, and other tools. Familiarity with SPSS, Alchemer, Qualtrics is a major plus

Exceptional English proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain data concepts to non-technical audiences and present to or advise senior executives
