Shopify Developer and Website Assistant

We are looking for a reliable Shopify developer to help improve and maintain an existing ecommerce website for a robot mower business.

This role is mainly focused on implementation and Shopify development, rather than high level marketing strategy. We will provide clear instructions on what needs to be changed and are looking for someone who can complete the work accurately without unnecessarily rebuilding things or installing lots of apps.

Work will include

Editing and improving existing Shopify pages and sections
Shopify theme customisation
Liquid, HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript changes
Improving homepage and product page layouts
Making product imagery and content more consistent
Creating expandable product information and feature sections
Working with Shopify metafields and metaobjects
Linking the correct accessories and parts to compatible products
Helping create product comparison functionality
Improving product stock and availability displays
Cleaning up duplicate products while keeping the correct product data
Product and inventory data cleanup
Importing and organising products from CSV files
Setting up and maintaining parts and accessories
Basic Shopify shipping configuration
Payment and checkout configuration
Installing and configuring approved Shopify apps when required
Implementing tracking codes and integrations based on instructions provided
General Shopify troubleshooting, testing and bug fixing
Checking changes on desktop and mobile before completion

What we are looking for

You should have practical experience working inside Shopify and be comfortable making changes without needing step by step instructions for every small task.

Metafields and metaobjects
Product imports and CSV files
Product variants and inventory
Shopify apps and integrations
Responsive mobile design

We value someone who is careful, communicates clearly and tests their work properly.

You do not need to be a marketing strategist or conversion rate optimisation expert. Higher level strategy and major website decisions will be provided separately.
