Position Overview

We are seeking a high-output Web & SEO Production Lead to own WordPress production and SEO growth across ---------- , a large portal network, and client websites. This is a demanding execution role with clear milestones, and accountability for results.

Critically, this role is the project manager for the entire web and SEO operation — the single point of accountability who directs existing staff, keeps production and SEO work moving without constant founder involvement, and reports directly to the operations lead on progress, blockers, and results. You are the person we come to for updates.

Required Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in WordPress production, technical SEO, or web operations — required

Agency, multi-site, or large production-site experience

• Strong WordPress knowledge plus practical technical SEO experience (site structure, schema, sitemaps, canonicals, internal links, crawlability, Core Web Vitals)
• Hands-on experience working inside WP Engine and Cloudflare environments
• Familiarity with Ahrefs, SpyFu, RivalFlow AI, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SE Ranking
• Proven ability to project manage a team and workflow end-to-end, with strong overlap with Pacific Time business hours in California
• A high-output, ownership-driven work style; this is not a low-pressure maintenance role

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager for all web and SEO production, and report directly to the CEO with regular status updates on launches, traffic, output, and team performance
• Own WordPress production for BayLegal, portal properties, and client sites
• Direct designers, developers, writers, and SEO/content staff so execution does not depend on constant founder involvement
• Oversee technical SEO, including site structure, schema, sitemaps, canonicals, internal links, crawlability, and Core Web Vitals
• Work inside WP Engine and Cloudflare environments and support performance, security, and deployment workflows
• Use tools such as Ahrefs, SpyFu, RivalFlow AI, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SE Ranking to guide production priorities and reporting
• Assess current staff, retrain where appropriate, and recommend upgrades or replacements when needed
• Help coordinate web, SEO, YouTube, and social execution where those efforts overlap
• Execute against CEO-driven milestones tied directly to launches, traffic, output, and team performance
