Lead Software Engineer (Full-Stack)

Hours: 40 hours per week, with strong overlap with Sydney business hours
Salary: PHP 110,000 to PHP 140,000 per month

The opportunity
We are a Sydney-based private credit lender with a substantial in-house technology platform supporting our lending business.
Our platform includes:

• Broker portal
• Credit assessment workbench
• Loan management system
• Operations tooling
• Institutional warehouse reporting
• Document automation and AI integrations

The platform is already built, live and used in production.
We are now looking for our first dedicated senior engineer to take day-to-day ownership of the platform, work directly with the founder, and progressively become responsible for the technology function.
This is not a maintenance-only role. You will build new features, improve existing systems, solve production problems and have significant influence over how the platform develops.
What you'll do

• Own feature development across our React 18 + Vite applications
• Maintain and extend our Supabase/Postgres backend
• Design database schemas, SQL migrations and RLS policies
• Debug production issues across the full stack
• Build and maintain PostgREST queries and APIs
• Maintain integrations with Salesforce, Azure and third-party services
• Work with Azure AD / Entra authentication
• Support Azure Document Intelligence and AI-powered document processing
• Build and maintain Claude API integrations
• Improve automated testing, deployment and release processes
• Review existing architecture and improve it without unnecessarily rewriting working systems
• Document important technical decisions and workflows
• Provide clear written progress updates and Loom walkthroughs

What we're looking for
Required

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience
• Strong React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript experience
• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL knowledge
• Ability to design schemas, migrations and database logic yourself
• Strong understanding of authentication, permissions and row-level security
• Experience owning or being highly responsible for a production application
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written English
• Proactive communication and ability to work independently
• Comfortable joining an established codebase and understanding it before changing architecture

You should be the type of engineer who can be given a problem, investigate it properly, propose a solution and then take responsibility for getting it into production.
Highly regarded
Experience with any of the following would be valuable:

• Supabase
• Vite
• Netlify
• Azure / Microsoft Entra ID
• Salesforce Flows, Apex or REST APIs
• Financial services, fintech or lending
• Regulated industries
• LLM or AI integrations
• Document extraction / OCR systems
• Monorepo architectures
• CI/CD and automated testing

What success looks like
Within 12 months, you will have:

• Taken ownership of the day-to-day engineering of the platform
• Developed a strong understanding of our lending and credit workflows
• Shipped meaningful features across our broker, credit and operations applications
• Improved testing and deployment reliability
• Reduced production issues and regressions
• Improved documentation and engineering processes
• Become the person the business trusts to take a technical problem and get it handled
