Business Development & Customer Success Representative

Location: Philippines (Remote)
Type: Full-time
Reports to: CMO, Australia
Market: Australia & New Zealand
Industry: Cybersecurity | SaaS | Technology

About the Role
Cybersecurity is one of the most important challenges facing businesses today. At Tautsec, we're building an ambitious Australian cybersecurity company with a simple goal: help businesses become more secure, resilient and better prepared for the threats they face.

We're looking for a Business Development & Customer Success Representative, based in the Philippines, to own the full front-end of the customer journey — from the very first conversation with a prospect, through to helping them get fully set up and confident using CyberPilot, our platform, once they've signed on.

This is a dual-focus role for someone who wants to build relationships, not just book meetings — equally comfortable opening a new conversation with a prospect and making sure an existing customer feels genuinely looked after.

The Role
Your mission has two halves. On the front end, you'll create high-quality sales conversations and build qualified pipeline for our commercial team — through your own outbound research as well as by qualifying inbound leads from our marketing, events and tradeshow activity. On the back end, once a deal closes, you'll take ownership of onboarding — making sure new customers are set up, scheduled, trained and confident using CyberPilot from day one.

You'll work across multiple channels — email , phone, LinkedIn, video calls and CyberPilot itself — and you'll be one of the few people at Tautsec with visibility across the entire customer lifecycle: from first hello to fully onboarded.

Part One: Business Development
Create the conversations that build our pipeline — across both outbound and inbound.

Outbound: you'll do your own research and proactively go find opportunities.

Research target companies across ANZ and identify where cybersecurity is a genuine business priority.
Build and maintain high-quality prospect lists and identify key decision-makers.
Run confident outbound calls, personalised email campaigns and LinkedIn outreach.
Ask thoughtful discovery questions to understand a prospect's priorities, risks and buying triggers.

Inbound: you'll follow up and qualify leads generated by our marketing engine.

Respond quickly to leads generated through digital marketing campaigns, webinars, events and tradeshows.
Qualify inbound interest with the same rigour as outbound — understanding real intent, timing and fit before it goes to the sales team.
Work closely with marketing to understand campaign context, so your follow-up feels informed, not generic.

Across both channels, your job is the same: qualify opportunities and hand the sales team clear context — not just a booking.

Support outbound campaigns, ABM initiatives, webinars and demand-gen programs.

Part Two: Customer Success & Onboarding
Once a customer signs, you become their trusted guide to getting real value from CyberPilot — and their advocate inside Tautsec.

Own the handover from sales to onboarding, and be the new customer's first point of contact after they sign.
Schedule and run structured onboarding calls, walking customers through setup and getting them fully live on CyberPilot.
Build a simple success plan for each new customer — clear onboarding milestones, timelines and what "live and confident" looks like for them.
Become a product SME on CyberPilot's core features, so you can answer setup and usage questions confidently without always escalating.
Run proactive check-ins and light-touch health checks during the first 30–90 days to confirm the customer is actually using CyberPilot, not just signed up to it.
Coordinate onboarding timelines and keep customers, and internal teams, on track to go-live.
Troubleshoot basic setup issues, and know when to loop in technical or support teams for anything more complex.
Flag early risk signals — low engagement, confusion, unmet expectations — to the commercial team before they become churn or renewal risk.
Be the voice of the customer internally — feed onboarding feedback and common questions back to the team to improve our onboarding materials, playbooks and even the product itself.
Spot early expansion or upsell signals during onboarding conversations and pass them to the commercial team.

You don't need to be a cybersecurity expert or a technical implementation specialist when you join us — you do need to be organised, empathetic, and genuinely motivated by seeing a customer succeed, not just sign.

What You'll Bring

Essential

3–5+ years' experience in a B2B customer-facing role — sales, business development, customer success, account management or onboarding — ideally within SaaS or technology.
A demonstrated track record of hitting targets or KPIs in a previous sales or customer success role, with results you can speak to.
Strong written and spoken English, and confidence engaging both prospects and existing customers, including senior stakeholders.
Comfortable switching between two mindsets: proactive outbound sales, and patient, structured customer support.
Excellent organisation — you can juggle a pipeline of prospects and a caseload of onboarding customers without dropping either.
Able to work independently with a remote Australian team, during Australian business hours.

Highly Desirable

Experience selling or supporting cybersecurity products specifically, ideally into Australia or another international market.
Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or a CRM/customer success platform.
Experience running onboarding, training, implementation calls or health-check reviews with customers.
Understanding of B2B technology buying and basic cybersecurity concepts.

This is a role for someone who already knows how to do this well and wants real ownership — not a training-ground position. If you bring the experience and can show us the results to back it up, we want to hear from you.

The Tautsec Standard
You don't need to tick every box, but these qualities matter: driven, resilient, curious, coachable, commercially minded, confident without ego, disciplined, resourceful, and competitive but collaborative. We're building a high-performing team that shares knowledge and helps each other improve.

AI & Modern Sales
The best BDRs of the future combine human connection with intelligent technology. You'll be encouraged to use AI to research accounts, prepare for conversations, personalise outreach and improve productivity — as a tool to sharpen judgement, not replace it.

Your First 90 Days
Days 1–30 (Orient): Get up to speed on Tautsec, CyberPilot, our customers and sales process; start prospecting and taking inbound leads within your first couple of weeks, not after a long ramp.

Days 30–60 (Deliver): Own your full pipeline and onboarding caseload independently, applying the experience you already bring rather than still learning the basics.

Days 60–90 (Optimise): Be operating at full capacity across both sides of the role, and bringing your own ideas to improve how we prospect, qualify and onboard.

How We'll Measure Success

Business development: qualified meetings and opportunities generated, pipeline contribution, outbound campaign performance.
Customer success: onboarding completion rate and time-to-value, customer engagement in the first 90 days, onboarding satisfaction.

Numbers aren't the whole story — we'll also look at the quality of your conversations on both sides, how quickly you learn, and the value you bring to the team.

Why Join Tautsec?
This is a chance to join early — working directly with Australian leadership, with visibility across the entire customer journey and real influence over how we build our sales and customer experience engine, in one of the world's most important technology sectors.

Work remotely from the Philippines with senior AU marketing and commercial leadership.
Build rare, end-to-end experience spanning sales and customer success.
Develop deep expertise in cybersecurity and B2B technology, with ongoing coaching.
Grow into senior commercial or customer success leadership as we scale.

Your growth is part of our growth.
