Job Description

I'm looking for an experienced Chief Architect user who can collaborate with me on residential and light commercial plans on an as-needed basis.

Important: You must own your own licensed copy of Chief Architect (Premier preferred). Please do not apply if you only use other CAD software or don't have your own license.

How this works

This is NOT a full-time or part-time job. It's an on-demand working relationship. I have my own Chief Architect license and I typically start projects myself — then I need a skilled second set of hands to help finish them. Some months may have several projects, other months may have none. I'm looking for someone reliable I can build a long-term working relationship with.

What you'll do

• Take plan files I've started and help complete them (floor plans, elevations, sections, details)
• Clean up and refine drawings to produce finished construction documents
• Occasionally work through design revisions with me
• Communicate clearly about progress, questions, and timelines

Requirements

• Your OWN licensed copy of Chief Architect (tell me which version you run)
• Solid experience producing complete residential plan sets in Chief Architect
• Experience with light commercial work is a plus
• Good written English and responsive communication
• Able to exchange .plan files and work from my project files

Pay

Project-based or hourly — please state your expected hourly rate (USD) in your application.
