Website Developer (WordPress, WooCommerce & Shopify | Elementor, Figma & AI Development Tools)

JOB OVERVIEW

Rare Blue Moon Marketing is a fast-growing US-based digital marketing agency delivering high-performing digital solutions across WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, and custom web development projects.

We are looking for a highly capable Website Developer with strong full-stack thinking and experience using modern AI-assisted development tools.

This is not simply a page-building role. We need someone who can handle real production websites end-to-end — from translating designs and requirements into working websites to troubleshooting code, integrating APIs, optimizing performance, and deploying finished projects.

You should be comfortable working across front-end development, WordPress customization, Shopify builds, API integrations, performance optimization, SEO implementation, and server-level troubleshooting when needed.

We are also incorporating AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, Google Stitch, and Lovable AI into our workflow. You should be comfortable using AI to accelerate development, prototyping, debugging, code generation, and problem-solving — while having the technical knowledge to review, modify, troubleshoot, and take ownership of the resulting code.

We are NOT looking for someone who relies entirely on page builders or AI-generated code. We are looking for a developer who understands how websites work under the hood and knows how to use both traditional development skills and modern AI tools to deliver better work faster.

This role requires strong communication, high responsiveness during working hours, and the ability to manage multiple client projects with minimal supervision.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify websites
• Convert Figma designs into responsive, pixel-perfect websites
• Build custom functionality using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP
• Customize WordPress themes and Elementor builds based on client requirements
• Develop and troubleshoot WooCommerce functionality, integrations, and custom features
• Build and customize Shopify storefronts and functionality
• Integrate third-party APIs, CRM systems, and marketing platforms, including GoHighLevel
• Use Claude Code for AI-assisted coding, debugging, refactoring, codebase navigation, and development workflows
• Use Google Stitch to accelerate UI/UX concepts and turn design ideas into development-ready interfaces
• Use Lovable AI for rapid prototyping, application development, and testing concepts when appropriate
• Evaluate and improve AI-generated code rather than using it without technical review
• Optimize websites for speed, technical SEO, responsiveness, accessibility, and user experience
• Manage hosting environments, domain configurations, WHM/cPanel, and website deployments
• Troubleshoot front-end, back-end, database, integration, and server-related technical issues
• Collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver high-quality websites
• Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve development speed and agency workflows

Requirements:

• Strong experience with WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify development
• Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP
• Experience implementing Figma designs into fully functional, responsive websites
• Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Experience with MySQL databases and API integrations
• Familiarity with AWS hosting environments and WHM/cPanel management
• Experience customizing Elementor and WordPress themes
• Understanding of website performance optimization and technical SEO best practices
• Experience integrating marketing tools, CRMs, and GoHighLevel
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to understand, review, debug, and modify existing code
• Experience using AI-assisted coding and development tools
• Familiarity with or willingness to work extensively with Claude Code, Google Stitch, and Lovable AI
• Ability to validate and troubleshoot AI-generated code instead of relying on AI output blindly
• Ability to use AI tools effectively while maintaining code quality, security, performance, and maintainability
• Excellent English communication skills and high responsiveness during work hours
• Able to work 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time with a 1-hour unpaid break
• Able to work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Portfolio with live website examples required

• Strong hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI coding agents

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate combines real development fundamentals with modern AI-assisted workflows.

You should know when AI can accelerate a task and when hands-on development is required. If Claude Code, Lovable, or another AI tool generates something incorrectly, you should be capable of identifying the problem and fixing it yourself.
