About the Role

Are you a highly motivated aspiring designer with a strong foundation in UI/UX principles and a passion for building consistent, user-friendly interfaces? We are looking for a Junior UI/UX Designer to join our team and contribute to varied client projects, including e-commerce sites, marketing websites, and email campaigns.

This role is focused on learning, execution, and mastering the technical aspects of design delivery.

Key Requirements

  • Learning Experience: At least 2 years of focused learning and personal project experience in UI/UX design (this can include schooling, bootcamps, apprenticeships, or extensive self-directed study).
  • Figma Skills: Practical knowledge of using Figma for design and prototyping. You must understand and be able to implement fundamental concepts like Auto Layout, Components, and Variants at all times.
  • Organizational Skills: A commitment to maintaining tidy files, well-named layers, and clear project structure.
  • Attention to Detail: A willingness to meticulously check work for alignment, spacing, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Communication Skills: Eagerness to ask clarifying questions, take clear direction, and communicate progress effectively.

Responsibilities (Learning & Execution Focus)

  • Assist senior designers in creating wireframes, mockups, and assets for client projects (e-commerce, web, and email ).
  • Actively work on integrating and utilizing existing design systems/component libraries in Figma.
  • Ensure all designs are consistent, following established style guides and component usage rules.
  • Prepare design files for developer handoff, ensuring clarity and organization.
  • Participate in design reviews and feedback sessions, applying learnings quickly.
  • Shadow senior designers to gain exposure to client communication and design strategy.

Highly Valued (Areas for Growth)
While not required, experience or interest in the following areas will be a significant advantage:

  • E-commerce Design: Basic understanding of online retail interfaces and user flows.
  • Conversion Principles: Familiarity with the basic goal of designing for user action (CRO).
  • Behavioral Psychology: An interest in why users make decisions online.
  • Analytics: Eagerness to learn how data informs design choices.
  • Email Design: Basic knowledge of designing highly converting email layouts.
