Urgent Bookkeeper / Accountant Needed – Australian BAS Bookkeeping

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper, Accountant, or Accounting Assistant to urgently assist with bookkeeping for approximately 10 quarterly BAS statements in Australia.

Rate: $5 AUD per hour
Estimated Work: Approximately 10 hours
Start: ASAP / Immediately
Deadline: Must be completed by Friday morning
Location: Remote

Main Tasks
Review approximately 3 years of business bank statements
Work through approximately 10 quarters of transactions
Categorise all business income and expenses
Identify relevant GST transactions
Separate income, expenses, transfers and other transactions
Fill out the provided spreadsheets/templates for each BAS quarter
Organise the information so it is ready for BAS preparation
Flag anything that is unclear or requires confirmation
Ask me questions directly whenever clarification is required — do not guess transactions
Requirements
Experience in Australian bookkeeping or accounting
Understanding of BAS and Australian GST
Experience reviewing and categorising bank statements
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
High attention to detail
Able to work independently and efficiently
Must be available to start immediately
Must be able to complete the project by Friday morning

Experience with Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks is highly regarded.
