Video Editor for Outdoor/Trail Reels (Instagram & TikTok) — DaVinci Resolve

Produces vertical short-form content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok) built from raw footage shot at trail and ultra-trail races around the world: Italy, Canary Islands, Andes, Mexican volcanoes. The goal is to turn race footage into 20-40 second Reels with a premium outdoor-documentary look. Storyboard, creative direction, and shot selection are already prepared before you receive anything, you are not inventing the story.
Requirements
Expert level in DaVinci Resolve Studio, including color grading and multiplatform export
Proven experience editing short vertical formats (Reels, Shorts, TikTok), portfolio required
Understanding of pacing for physical effort footage, not just fast cuts for the sake of energy
Basic sound design: ambiance, music sync, discreet transitions
Reliable internet connection, able to handle large 4K raw files
Available for async communication and reasonable turnaround (48-72h per Reel)
What we are NOT looking for
Flashy transitions, generic animated text, aggressive filters
Energetic "sports ad" style editing, Verticima's identity is calmer and more contemplative
Responsibilities
Receive organized raw footage per race event (Drive or Dropbox)
Follow the provided storyboard and technical post-production sheet (timeline, shot choices, pacing notes, color and sound direction)
Deliver a finished Reel ready for export across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok specs
Take part in a first paid test edit on a single Reel before any ongoing arrangement
