What You'll Do

Edit videos for Facebook , Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube
Create engaging short-form and long-form videos
Add captions, graphics, transitions, music, and other elements when appropriate
Create strong hooks in the first few seconds of videos
Repurpose longer videos into multiple short-form pieces
Maintain consistent branding across all video content
Edit job-site footage into professional, engaging content
???? Content Planning
Help create a monthly and weekly content plan
Develop content ideas around roofing, home improvement, insurance claims, roof maintenance, and customer education
Identify opportunities to turn everyday roofing projects into content
Plan content around seasonal roofing topics, homeowner questions, and common customer concerns
Recommend what types of videos we should create and why
???? SEO & Content Optimization
Understand basic YouTube SEO and search optimization
Research keywords and topics homeowners are searching for
Create optimized video titles, descriptions, tags, and topics
Understand how to structure content for discoverability
Help improve YouTube channel growth and organic reach
Apply good SEO practices without making content feel unnatural
???? Guide Our Team on How to Capture Content

You will also help our team create better raw footage.

You should be able to provide simple instructions such as:

What videos our roofers and sales team should capture
What angles and shots to take
How to record before-and-after footage
How to film roofing problems and repairs
What team members should say on camera
How to record customer testimonials
What footage is needed for Reels vs. YouTube
Shot lists and simple filming guidelines for job sites
What We're Looking For

Required:

Experience editing short-form video content
Experience with Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and/or YouTube
Understanding of social media content best practices
Basic understanding of SEO
Strong sense of storytelling and pacing
Ability to create engaging hooks
Good attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
