COMMUNITY & WEBSITE ASSISTANT - UK EVENTS BRAND (LONG-TERM)

ABOUT US

We run Cocktail Week - city-wide cocktail festivals across more than 20 cities in the UK and Ireland, including Belfast, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Cardiff, Dublin and Cork.

Each city has its own event, its own partner bars, and its own social media accounts. We sell wristbands that give people access to discounted cocktails across dozens of bars in their city.

We are a small team growing quickly. That means a lot of repeated work across a lot of cities, and we need someone reliable to take ownership of it.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT

• Read and reply to comments and messages across all our city accounts on Instagram, Facebook and ---------- , every working day
• Work from a set of approved replies that we will give you
• Pass anything unusual or sensitive straight to us rather than answering it yourself

PARTNER VENUE MONITORING

• Check our partner bars' social media accounts to confirm they have posted the content they agreed to post
• Log the post links in our tracking system

PARTNER VENUE EMAIL S

• Email our partner bars ready-made content packs (image, caption, dates) so that posting is easy for them
• Send one follow-up if they have not posted
• All from approved templates - you will never need to write these from scratch

WEBSITE UPDATES (WORDPRESS)

• Add venue listings and offer details to our website
• Keep event dates, ticket links and images up to date
• You will have Editor access for content only

MAP UPDATES

• Add and update venue locations on our city maps
• We will train you on this - it is straightforward data entry once you have seen it done

VENUE DATABASE

• Clean up and verify our existing list of 500+ partner bars' social media links
• Sort messy sign-up data into proper columns, check that every link works, and add follower counts

REPORTING

• A simple weekly performance summary

If this goes well, the role can grow to include design work in Canva, post scheduling, influencer research and content writing.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Strong written English. You will be replying publicly on behalf of our brand and email ing UK bar owners. This genuinely matters and we will be assessing it closely.
• Good judgement about when NOT to answer something. This is just as important as answering well. We would far rather you pass something to us than guess.
• Hands-on WordPress experience - editing pages, uploading images, managing content
• Genuinely careful attention to detail. A lot of this work is spotting the small thing that is wrong.
• Comfortable working in Google Sheets or Excel with large lists
• Familiar with Instagram, Facebook and ---------- , and comfortable navigating business accounts
• Reliable and communicative. If something is unclear, ask. If something is blocking you, tell us the same day.

NICE TO HAVE (NOT REQUIRED)

• Experience managing comments or messages for a brand
• Experience with business or partner email communication
• Canva
• Meta Business Suite
• Any interest in food, drink, hospitality or events
