Senior Motion Graphics Designer / After Effects Artist

175 Productions is looking for an experienced Motion Graphics Designer / After Effects Artist to join our creative team. We are seeking someone with strong animation fundamentals, excellent visual judgment, and the ability to create professional motion graphics from scratch — not simply customize existing templates.

Requirements
5+ years of professional experience using Adobe After Effects
Advanced proficiency in After Effects, including keyframe animation, graph editor, expressions, masking, compositing, tracking, and motion design workflows
Ability to design and animate motion graphics from scratch without relying on pre-made templates
Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, pacing, composition, typography, and visual hierarchy
Experience creating polished 2D motion graphics, title animations, lower thirds, logo animations, transitions, infographics, and promotional graphics
Ability to take a creative brief, storyboard, or reference and independently develop it into a finished animation
Strong attention to detail and ability to match an established brand or visual style
Comfortable working with feedback and making revisions efficiently
Strong organizational skills, including clean project files, proper naming conventions, and organized compositions/pre-comps
Ability to meet deadlines in a professional production environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Experience integrating motion graphics into Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve workflows
Experience with 3D software or 3D workflows such as Blender, Cinema 4D, or After Effects 3D
Experience creating content for commercials, corporate videos, tech companies, events, social media, and branded content
Familiarity with plugins and tools commonly used in professional After Effects workflows
What We're Looking For

We are specifically looking for a motion designer, not a template editor.

You should be comfortable receiving a concept or visual reference and figuring out how to build the animation yourself. Using third-party assets when appropriate is completely fine, but your work should demonstrate that you understand how the animation is actually constructed and can create original motion design when a template does not exist.
