Short Form Video Editor for Ecommerce Ads (Meta, UGC, AI Video)

About us

We are a small ecommerce brand in the health and supplement space. We sell to customers in the United States and Canada, and we run our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. The business is run by one person right now, so you will be working directly with the owner, not through a manager or an agency layer.

We are looking for an editor to build these ads for us on a project basis. Work comes in batches. Some months there are several, some months there are none. We are not offering fixed weekly hours, so please only apply if project work suits you.

When a batch goes well, we come back to the same editor for the next one. Most of our work ends up going to a small number of people we trust.

What the job is

You will build the short video ads we run on Facebook and Instagram. Each batch is 3 to 5 videos, 30 to 90 seconds long, vertical format.

For every batch you will receive a written brief. The brief gives you the script, the hook, the pacing, and notes on what visuals we want. Your job is to turn that brief into a finished ad.

Your work will include:

Editing raw creator footage into a finished ad with captions, pacing, and sound design
Finding your own clips when a brief does not come with footage. We will tell you exactly what to look for. You find it and choose well.
Building AI video ads. This includes AI UGC avatars, faceless voiceover videos, cartoon and animated styles, and AI generated B-roll.
Adding on screen text and captions that are timed correctly
Exporting in 9:16, plus 1:1 and 4:5 versions
Making new versions of ads that perform well, usually a new opening with the same body

Requirements

At least 1 year editing short form video. Facebook , Instagram, or TikTok content.
Strong with CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or After Effects
Real experience with AI video and voice tools. For example ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Higgsfield, Veo, Runway, or similar. Tell us which ones you use and show us work you made with them.
Able to deliver a batch of 3 ads within 48 hours
Computer that can run your editing software smoothly, plus stable internet for uploading large video files
Good written English. You will be reading briefs and asking questions in writing.
Comfortable working from a written brief without needing a call for every task
