Senior WordPress Developer & Graphic Designer – Full-Time
Confidential employer
We’re a 34-year-old Australian technology and events company looking for a highly capable Senior WordPress Developer & Graphic Designer to join our team full-time.
This is a hands-on technical and creative role. We are looking for someone who is genuinely strong in BOTH WordPress development and graphic design.
You’ll work directly with our Australian Sales Manager and become a key part of developing and improving our websites, landing pages, product pages, graphics, photography and overall digital presence.
WEB DEVELOPMENT
A major part of your role will be taking ownership of the ongoing development and improvement of our WordPress websites.
Your work will include:
- WordPress website development and maintenance
- Advanced Elementor / Elementor Pro development
- WooCommerce products, categories and shop development
- Building new landing pages and website sections
- WordPress theme and template customisation
- HTML and CSS development
- JavaScript modifications where required
- Responsive development across desktop, tablet and mobile
- Troubleshooting WordPress, plugin and layout problems
- Website speed and performance improvements
- UX and conversion improvements
- Managing redirects, URLs and website structure
- Implementing tracking scripts and website integrations
- Testing and deploying website changes
We particularly want someone who can be given an outcome such as “we need this page to work like this” and independently determine how to build it.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
You’ll also be an important internal resource for our graphic design and image production.
Your work will include:
- Adobe Photoshop – strong competency is essential
- Canva
- Website banners and hero graphics
- Product imagery
- Photo retouching and colour correction
- Background removal and image manipulation
- Corporate event photography enhancement
- Social media and advertising graphics
- Website icons and supporting graphics
- Sales and marketing collateral
- Maintaining consistency with our existing brand
We want someone with a good design eye, not simply someone who knows how to use Photoshop and Canva.
SEO & DIGITAL MARKETING
Our SEO strategy is managed by a specialist third-party agency, so you will NOT be responsible for developing our SEO strategy.
However, the Web Developer is a vital part of actually making that strategy happen.
You’ll work with our Australian Sales Manager and SEO specialists to implement recommendations including new landing pages, website structure changes, internal linking, redirects, technical fixes, content layouts, metadata, schema and other website improvements.
Basic SEO knowledge is highly desirable, but your primary responsibility is being able to correctly build and implement the required website changes.
SKILLS WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You should already be highly competent with:
- WordPress
- Elementor Pro
- WooCommerce
- HTML
- CSS
- Adobe Photoshop
- Canva
- Additional experience with JavaScript, PHP, Cloudflare, GA4, Google Tag Manager, technical SEO, website performance optimisation and Adobe Creative Cloud will be highly regarded.
We value people who can troubleshoot problems independently, research solutions and get things done without requiring constant step-by-step instructions.
SALARY & BENEFITS
AUD $1,000–$1,500 per month depending on demonstrated skills and experience.
The package also includes SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG.
This is a genuine full-time, long-term position with an established Australian company.
WORKING HOURS
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Philippine Time
- This includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, providing 40 paid working hours per week.
These hours align with our Australian office, allowing you to work directly with our Sales Manager and Australian team throughout the working day.
ABOUT US
We are an established Australian company operating in the technology, IT rental and corporate events industry for 34 years.
Our business works with everything from laptops, computers and servers through to LED displays, touchscreens, audiovisual equipment and major corporate event technology.
We’re an established business that is actively investing in our websites, digital presence, technology and systems.
This isn't a role where you'll spend all day making minor content updates. We want someone who enjoys building things, solving problems and seeing their work have a direct impact on a real business.
IMPORTANT – PRACTICAL SKILLS TEST
Please only apply if you genuinely have the skills required for this position.
Shortlisted applicants will complete a practical skills examination / live demonstration BEFORE progressing to a formal interview.
You may be asked to demonstrate WordPress and Elementor development, troubleshoot a website problem, reproduce a supplied design, complete a Photoshop task or explain how you would approach a practical development problem.
Your CV and portfolio may get you through the door. Your demonstrated ability will determine whether you progress to interview.
We’re looking for someone who wants to become a long-term and important member of our team, take ownership of our websites and creative output, and see the direct impact of their work on a growing Australian business.
