We're a family-run roofing company in San Antonio, TX. We also produce real estate content for my wife's listings. We shoot with a professional camera and drone and handle scripts, filming, and direction. We need someone to make it look incredible.

What we won't consider

We are NOT hiring for AI-generated UGC. If your portfolio is AI avatars talking to camera, or videos where every frame came from a prompt, don't apply — we won't review it.

Your job is editing OUR real footage. AI is the seasoning. Our footage is the meal.

The honest situation

I don't know how to edit. I know what looks good and can point at videos I want to emulate, but I can't teach you technique. I need someone with strong fundamentals who enjoys figuring things out on their own.

Must-haves — you can do these today, without a tutorial

• Zoom blur / punch-in transitions
• Whip pans
• Speed ramping
• Beat-synced cutting
• Match cuts
• Luma / flash transitions
• Mask and object-pass transitions
• J-cuts and L-cuts
• Styled keyword captions timed to voiceover — not auto-subs
• Kinetic typography
• Clean 9:16 framing, safe zones, and export
• Basic color correction and grading
• Audio mixing and ducking music under voiceover
• CapCut Pro and/or Premiere Pro
• Fast turnaround without cutting corners
• Willing to help wherever needed — editing is the core role, but we're a small business and everyone pitches in

The AI techniques we want built into our videos

This is where we want to stand out. You don't need to know these on day one — we provide the tools and expect you to learn them fast:

• Morph transitions (first-frame / last-frame keyframe interpolation) — one shot transforming into another. Damaged roof morphing into the finished roof. Empty room becoming a staged room. Two of our own frames, AI generating the transformation between them.
• AI-generated b-roll to fill gaps we couldn't film — twilight exteriors, aerial pull-backs
• Object assembly — elements flying into frame and locking into place
• Background extension and outpainting — widening or reframing a shot we shot too tight
• AI-driven openers — cinematic zoom-from-orbit style intros
• Object and background removal — cleaning up debris, wires, or distractions in a shot

Nice to have: After Effects, existing AI video experience (Higgsfield, Runway, Kling, Pika, Luma), motion graphics, conversational Spanish, and social media management — scheduling posts, writing captions, content calendars, basic analytics.

What to expect

• Vertical videos, 15–60 seconds, on an ongoing basis
• We pay for and provide all tools and logins — Higgsfield, editing software, whatever the work needs. You never pay for a subscription out of pocket.
• We provide all footage, scripts, and brand guidelines
• Reference videos with notes — you'll study them and reproduce the techniques with our footage
• One video per batch is yours creatively, your call on the approach
• Timestamped feedback and two revision rounds per video

General VA work when there's no footage to edit

Editing is the main job. But we shoot in batches, and sometimes we'll fall behind or the weather won't cooperate. On those days, instead of sitting idle, you'll help us with standard support tasks — research, drafting email s, updating our CRM, phone calls, scheduling, and similar.

To be clear: this is not doubled-up work. We won't hand you a stack of admin on top of a full editing day. It's simply what you do when there's nothing in the edit queue
