About the Role

About Us

We are a growing e-commerce business based in [country]. We [one general sentence about what you sell and to whom — no brand names]. Our entire business runs on Shopify, and our store is the heart of the company. You'll work directly with the owner — short lines, fast decisions, no layers of management.

We keep our company name confidential during the first stage of the hiring process. Full details about the company and our store will be shared with shortlisted candidates.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced, professional Shopify Developer. Not a general web developer who "also knows Shopify," but someone who works in Shopify every single day and knows the platform inside out.

You'll take full ownership of our store: maintaining and improving it, building new features, and making sure everything runs fast, looks sharp, and converts. This is a stable, full-time, long-term position, with the goal of growing into our lead developer.

What You'll Do
Develop, customize, and maintain our Shopify theme (Liquid, Online Store 2.0, sections and blocks)
Build fast, responsive, mobile-first pages and landing pages
Set up and customize Shopify apps, and integrate third-party tools (payments, email marketing, reviews, analytics)
Work with Shopify APIs, metafields, and metaobjects for custom functionality
Continuously improve site speed and Core Web Vitals
Fix bugs quickly and thoroughly — and test your own work before delivering
Turn designs and ideas into working features, from concept to launch
Proactively suggest improvements to UX, performance, and conversion
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience. This is a hard requirement — we are not looking for general web developers.
Strong command of Liquid and Shopify theme architecture
Solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills
Experience with Shopify apps, integrations, and APIs
A portfolio of live Shopify stores you personally worked on
Excellent written and spoken English
A professional work attitude: you hit deadlines, communicate early when something changes, and double-check your work before handing it in
Fast, stable internet connection and your own computer
Available full-time and looking for a long-term role, not a short gig
Nice to Have
Shopify Plus, checkout customization, or Hydrogen experience
Conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing
UI/UX or design skills (Figma)
SEO experience
What We Offer
A stable full-time salary, paid on time, every single time
13th month pay
Paid time off and [Philippine holidays — adjust to your setup]
Performance-based raises as you prove yourself
Direct communication with the business owner
Real long-term growth: the goal is for you to become our lead developer
How to Apply (Read Carefully — This Is Your First Test)
Start your application with the word "SHOPIFY" so we know you read the entire post.
Include links to 2–3 live Shopify stores you worked on, and tell us exactly what YOU did on each.
Briefly answer: (a) how many years you've worked with Shopify, (b) which parts of Shopify you know best (themes, apps, APIs, etc.), and (c) one Shopify problem you solved that you're proud of.
Bonus points: record a short Loom video introducing yourself.

Applications that don't follow these steps will not be considered. If you follow them, we will personally review your application and respond within [X] days.

We look forward to meeting our next Shopify expert!
