We are an Australian electrical and architectural lighting business looking for a dedicated WooCommerce Product Catalogue VA to join our remote team.

This is not simply a data-entry position.

We need someone who is extremely accurate, organised and willing to check information carefully before putting anything onto our website.

Our catalogue contains architectural lighting, LED strip, drivers, controls, aluminium profiles, downlights, garden lighting and other electrical products.

We already have an established VA team. You will work under Jocy, who will manage your tasks and priorities, and work with Vega, who assists with developing our systems and workflows.

The purpose of this new position is to give one person clear responsibility for maintaining the accuracy and quality of our WooCommerce lighting catalogue.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS THE MOST IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT

We need someone who notices things such as:

• A product incorrectly categorised as 0-10V when it is actually DALI, TRIAC or not dimmable.
• A product title saying 14.4W/m while the specification says 9.6W/m.
• A product saying 2700K in one location and 3000K somewhere else.
• Missing SKUs.
• Missing prices.
• Missing stock quantities.
• Incorrect product variations.
• Incorrect photographs.
• Specifications that don't agree with the supplier's catalogue.

If something does not make sense, do not guess.

Stop, investigate the supplier information and ask the team.

Accuracy is more important than speed.

Main Responsibilities

WooCommerce Product Management

Create, update and maintain products inside WooCommerce including:

• Product names
• SKUs
• Categories
• Subcategories
• Product attributes
• Variations
• Pricing
• Wholesale pricing
• Stock quantities
• Stock status
• Product descriptions
• Technical specifications
• Product images
• Downloadable specification sheets
• Tags and filters

You will also regularly audit existing products and correct incomplete or incorrect information.

All technical information must be checked against the original supplier information.

This may include:

• CRI
• Beam angle

• Dimensions

You are expected to identify conflicting information rather than simply copying it.

Product Images

Our preference is always:

1. Original supplier/manufacturer product image
2. Supplier catalogue image
3. Supplier technical drawing/render
4. Professionally prepared product image
5. AI-generated image only as a last resort

Do not use AI-generated images when a genuine supplier photograph is readily available.

Images must also be correctly matched to the exact product.

Stock Management

We are developing a trade catalogue where approved electrical contractors and wholesalers can log in and see our available products.

WooCommerce needs to become our reliable source of stock information.

You will help maintain:

• Correct stock quantities
• Stock management by SKU/variation
• Live stock availability
• Trade catalogue information
• Products requiring replenishment

Products that are not currently stocked will preferably be shown to customers as:

rather than simply:

OUT OF STOCK

Trade Customer Catalogue

We are also improving our contractor and wholesaler login system.

The successful applicant may assist with:

• Trade customer accounts
• Contractor/wholesaler registrations
• Checking catalogue access
• Wholesale pricing visibility
• Testing customer login accounts
• Identifying registration or approval problems
• Maintaining accurate trade catalogue information

We are developing a workflow where new trade applications can be reviewed quickly by members of our team.

We are also not looking for someone who:

• Guesses missing information
• Publishes incomplete products
• Uses the wrong image because it looks similar
• Creates AI images unnecessarily
• Places products into categories without understanding them
• Marks work complete without checking it

There will sometimes be incomplete or contradictory supplier information.

We want somebody who finds those problems.

You will also work with Vega, who is helping us improve the workflows and systems used by our VA team.
