Creative Video Editor & Social Media Content Producer
Confidential employer
I’m building Lost Coast Naturals, a minimalist skincare brand focused on simple, functional products, and I’m looking for someone to work with me on short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
I’ve been documenting the process of building the brand, so I have a growing library of product footage and photography, along with ideas for videos. What I need help with is consistently turning those ideas into complete pieces of content.
A big part of the role is video editing, but I’m hoping to find someone who can also help shape an idea before we get to the edit. Sometimes I’ll have a clear concept and the footage ready to go. Other times I may need help figuring out the hook, a simple script, how the video should flow, or what additional shots would make it work.
What I’d like help with:
- Editing short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Turning rough ideas into clear video concepts
- Helping with hooks, scripts, and video structure
- Giving some direction on how or where to shoot something when needed
- Adding music, text, sound, transitions, and other editing elements where they make sense
- Developing new content ideas and repeatable formats over time
The brand and style:
Lost Coast Naturals is a founder-led brand, so part of the content will tell the story behind the business and bring me into it. But the products and formulas are the hero.
Visually, the brand is minimalist, functional, and somewhat technical, with a clean and restrained aesthetic that intentionally feels different from a typical skincare or lifestyle brand.
More than anything, I’m looking for someone with good taste and creativity. I like collaborating with people who are confident in their skills, have their own point of view, and are comfortable suggesting a different direction when they think it will make the work better.
I want someone who understands what makes social content engaging, but also knows when keeping something simple is the better creative choice.
You can check out ---------- to get a feel for the products, photography, and overall brand identity. If you understand the concept and feel like it’s something you can connect with, we’ll probably work well together.
The role:
I’m thinking around 10 to 15 hours per week to start, with the possibility of growing from there.
I’d like to eventually get into a rhythm of creating around 3 to 4 strong pieces of short-form content per week, but I care more about making good content than posting something just to hit a number.
The goal is for this to be collaborative. I’ll continue bringing ideas, setting the creative direction, and shooting content, but I’d also love someone who brings ideas of their own. I’m looking for someone who can help brainstorm new concepts, shape rough ideas into something we can actually make, and then help bring them across the finish line.
If we work well together, I’d love for this to become a long-term role.
