Remote Patient Referral & Scheduling Coordinator

Full-Time | Pacific Time

We are hiring an experienced Patient Referral & Scheduling Coordinator to support a busy U.S. sleep medicine practice.

Responsibilities

• Process and enter high-volume patient referrals
• Contact patients to schedule new consultations and follow-up visits
• Answer inbound and make outbound patient calls
• Track unscheduled referrals through completion
• Enter demographics, insurance, referral information, and documentation accurately
• Review referrals for missing information and follow up with referring offices
• Assist with insurance authorization and referral requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation in eClinicalWorks

Requirements

• Strong eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience required
• Medical referral and patient scheduling experience
• Experience working with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, commercial/PPO, HMO, and managed-care plans
• Understanding of referral and authorization requirements by payer
• Experience handling high-volume patient calls
• Strong medical terminology and insurance knowledge
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Prior authorization experience preferred
• Sleep medicine or pulmonary experience is a plus
• Must be available during U.S. Pacific Time business hours
