Podcast Video Editor — Multi-Camera, Quick Turnaround

ABOUT THE ROLE
Q's Recording Studios (QRS) is a music production studio and media company producing Cue The Q Podcast, along with artist content, music videos, and social content for independent musicians. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented video editor to handle our podcast episodes and supporting social content on an ongoing basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Edit multi-camera podcast episodes (currently 2-4 camera angles) into a polished final cut
• Sync audio and footage across multiple cameras and mic sources
• Color match footage across mixed camera sources (we shoot on a Sony A7III, Sony FX30, and DJI Osmo Pocket 3 — each with different color science, so experience matching multi-camera footage is important, not just single-camera editing)
• Create quick, consistent intros using our established template once locked in
• Cut long-form episodes into short-form clips for YouTube Shorts, Reels, and TikTok
• Design and deliver custom thumbnails for each episode
• Add burned-in captions/subtitles for social clips
• Export correctly formatted files for each platform (16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for Shorts/Reels/TikTok, 1:1 if needed)
• Maintain consistent color, pacing, and audio quality across all deliverables
• Organize and manage project files/media in an agreed folder structure
• Turn around edits on a fast, predictable timeline once workflow is established
• Keep all footage and unreleased content confidential — this includes unreleased guest interviews and unpublished material

REQUIREMENTS

• Must show a portfolio or demo reel — prior podcast or multi-camera interview editing strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of pacing, cutting on dialogue, and keeping viewers engaged through a long-form conversation
• Comfortable working with multi-camera footage and syncing multiple audio sources
• Experience color matching footage from different cameras
• Experience creating thumbnails (Photoshop or similar)
• Reliable, communicative, and able to meet deadlines consistently
• Efficient — able to work quickly without sacrificing quality once templates and workflows are set

SOFTWARE

• DaVinci Resolve strongly preferred
• Premiere Pro or Final Cut acceptable if portfolio quality is strong
• Comfortable with large file transfer and shared drives (Google Drive, ---------- , or similar)
