AI Email Copywriter
Confidential employer
Hello there!
We are a growing Email Marketing Agency with 60+ active e-commerce clients looking for an enthusiastic and skilled AI Email Copywriter.
This is a part-time role where you will be working alongside our current team of 50+.
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU CAN WRITE SMOOTH, CLEAR, HIGH-CONVERTING COPY USING CLAUDE AI AND KNOW HOW TO PROMPT IT CORRECTLY
We are looking for a top-tier email copywriter first and foremost. Your main job is to write copy that reads smoothly, makes complete sense, and moves the reader toward a purchase without ever confusing them. This is not about generating words that sound nice. Every line needs to flow naturally, build logically on the line before it, and land with real clarity and persuasion.
We need someone who can use Claude AI to draft strong copy quickly, but who also knows how to take that output and polish it until it reads clean, human, and effortless. If a sentence feels clunky, repetitive, or like it was stitched together from random AI phrasing, you catch it and fix it before it ever reaches us.
This copy will be written for individual email campaigns and flows across our client roster, primarily in health, supplements, beauty, and other higher-end DTC categories, including brands that speak to older, more discerning demographics. Brand references and context will be provided for every brief.
The final output for every email must be clean, formatted copy — headline, subheader, body, and CTA — delivered in a structured format ready for the design team to build from.
As a secondary part of the role, you should know how to use Claude (and similar AI writing tools) to accelerate output, but strong prompting is only half the job. The other half is editorial: knowing how to rewrite, tighten, and smooth out AI output so it sounds like it was written by a skilled human copywriter, not generated.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of email copywriting experience, ideally in direct-response
- Highly proficient in Claude AI and skilled at prompting it to produce strong first drafts (this is the most important requirement)
- Strong editorial instinct: able to identify clunky, confusing, or "AI-sounding" copy and rewrite it until it flows naturally
- Experience writing direct-response copy for supplements, health, or other higher-end categories is a strong plus
- Comfortable writing for older or more sophisticated demographics who respond to clarity and trust over hype
- Proficient in English — copy must read naturally and never feel robotic or disjointed
- Proficient with Slack for team communication
- Able to work weekdays and weekends
Bonus Points:
- Direct experience writing for supplement or wellness brands
- Strong grasp of direct-response principles (hook writing, CTA hierarchy, urgency framing, social proof)
- Experience writing across multiple brands simultaneously without voice bleed
- A natural ear for rhythm and pacing in copy, knowing when a sentence needs to be cut, combined, or rewritten entirely
Your tasks as an AI Email Copywriter will include:
1. Use Claude AI to draft strong, on-brief email copy based on the brand references and briefs we provide
2. Edit and refine every draft so the final copy reads smoothly, makes complete sense, and never confuses the reader
3. Match each brand's voice perfectly, with particular care for brands speaking to older or higher-end audiences
4. Write up to 30 email s per day (the majority will typically be for one or two clients so the workflow stays efficient)
5. Deliver all final copy in a clean structured format: headline, subheader, body, CTA, and ender line
6. Communicate progress and revisions with the team in Slack
7. Complete all tasks daily before 3 PM PH time
We ask that you answer the questions below to help us get to know you.
Questions:
1. Have you written direct-response email copy before, especially for supplements, health, or other higher-end categories? If yes, for how long, and do you have examples we can review?
2. Walk us through how you use Claude AI to draft copy. What does your prompting process look like, and how do you push it to get a strong first draft rather than something generic?
3. Once Claude gives you a draft, what do you look for when editing it? How do you know when a line "doesn't sound right" and needs to be rewritten?
4. Can you share a quick before-and-after example, AI's raw output versus your final edited version, so we can see how you improve it?
5. How do you write for an older or more sophisticated audience differently than you would for a younger, trend-driven one?
6. How do you keep your copy feeling fresh across multiple campaigns for the same brand without falling into repetitive angles or phrasing?
We are looking to grow very quickly over the next few months and this position will allow for opportunities to move into incentive-based pay and a salary increase. After 3 months, there will be a salary increase.
We ask that if you do provide examples, they be relevant to what the job describes.
Biweekly Pay: $150 CAD
Hours: 4 hours per day
Currently, you must be able to work at least 20hrs/week (including weekends)
* HOW TO APPLY *
*You must include your favorite color + AI tool in the subject line of your application for it to be considered (this shows you actually read it and is very important; if you do not have it in there, your application will be skipped).
1.) Send us a message answering all 6 questions
2.) Include examples of your email copy work (formatted copy preferred, not screenshots)
3.) Include a before-and-after example showing raw AI output versus your final edited copy, if you have one
We look forward to hearing from you!
