Shopify Custom Expert

Our Agency in the US is looking for an Expert Shopify Developer to join our team and take ownership of building, optimizing, and maintaining high-performing Shopify and Shopify Plus stores. You’ll work closely with our design, marketing, and e-commerce teams to turn ideas into scalable, conversion-focused online experiences.

What You’ll Do

Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus stores.
Build custom Shopify themes, sections, templates, and features using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs.
Customize and extend Shopify apps and third-party integrations.
Develop custom Shopify apps and functionality when needed.
Optimize stores for speed, performance, SEO, mobile responsiveness, and conversion rate.
Integrate Shopify with payment providers, ERPs, CRMs, inventory systems, marketing platforms, and other third-party services.
Troubleshoot technical issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
Work closely with designers and marketing teams to bring new features and campaigns to life.
Ensure websites are responsive, accessible, secure, and maintainable.
Stay current with Shopify platform updates, APIs, and e-commerce best practices.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of professional Shopify development experience.
Deep expertise with Shopify and Shopify Plus.
Strong experience with Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Shopify APIs.
Proven experience building and customizing Shopify themes from scratch.
Experience with Shopify's Admin API, Storefront API, and webhooks.
Strong understanding of e-commerce architecture and best practices.
Experience integrating third-party apps and APIs.
Strong understanding of website performance and Core Web Vitals.
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to writing clean, scalable code.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Bonus Skills

Shopify Plus and enterprise e-commerce experience.
Experience with Hydrogen/Oxygen or headless Shopify.
React/Next.js experience.
Experience building custom Shopify apps.
Experience with subscription platforms, marketplaces, or complex product catalogs.
Knowledge of CRO, analytics, and A/B testing.
Experience working with international stores, multiple currencies, and localization.
