???? About the Role

BetterTok is looking for a reliable Full-Stack Developer to join our team long-term and work directly alongside our founder/lead developer.

We're not looking for someone who simply completes tasks and waits for the next one.

We want someone who will understand BetterTok as a product, understand our users, learn the platform inside and out, and eventually be comfortable handling issues independently when our lead developer is unavailable.

This is a long-term position, not a one-time freelance project.

???? What You'll Be Doing

You'll help with things like:

• ???? Fixing bugs and production issues
• ????? Diagnosing user-reported problems
• ???? Developing new overlays and smaller features
• ? Improving existing features
• ???? Working across frontend and backend
• ???? Working with APIs, databases, and real-time systems
• ???? Checking logs and troubleshooting issues
• ???? Testing changes before deployment
• ???? Handling issues when our lead developer is unavailable
• ???? Suggesting new features and improvements
• ???? Helping BetterTok improve as the product grows

We don't expect you to know everything about BetterTok on day one.

We do expect you to take the time to learn it.

???? Who We're Looking For

Ideally, you:

• Have strong full-stack development experience
• Have worked on real production applications or SaaS products
• Can understand and work within an existing codebase
• Can troubleshoot problems independently
• Understand APIs, databases, Git/GitHub, and real-time applications
• Are comfortable working on both frontend and backend
• Write clean and maintainable code
• Communicate well in English
• Are reliable and consistent
• Can take ownership instead of needing step-by-step instructions
• Actually care about understanding the product you're developing
• Want a stable, long-term position

Experience with TikTok LIVE, OBS, streaming software, WebSockets, overlays, creator tools, or similar real-time applications is a big plus.

$1,000–$3,000 USD/month, depending on experience and technical ability.

There is room for increased responsibility and compensation as BetterTok continues to grow.
