About the Role

Read every word. There's an instruction near the bottom that gets you hired. Miss it and you're out — that's test #1, and it starts now.

We're Greater Phoenix Cleaning. We clean homes and businesses across Phoenix, Arizona, and we are on a tear — building this into a multi-seven-figure company with locations opening across the United States.

Think of us like a championship sports team. Everyone here is a starter. Everyone is accountable. We train hard, we keep score, we celebrate the wins loudly, and we don't carry passengers. If you're used to hiding in the middle of a big org where nobody notices you coasting — you will hate it here, and we'll notice fast.

We're hiring ONE leader. A Closer. Someone who can run the day-to-day of a busy cleaning company, close deals on the phone, take an angry customer and turn them into a raving fan, keep a crew of cleaners moving, and stay calm and sharp when the day goes sideways — because some days, it will.

We hire leaders, not order-takers. If you need someone telling you what to do every hour, close this post — we'll both be happier. If you see a problem and just handle it, keep reading.

THE ONE THING THAT'S NON-NEGOTIABLE
We do not hire lazy. Not "a little lazy on Fridays." Not "lazy in the parts nobody sees." If you cut corners anywhere in your life, it shows up everywhere eventually — and it has no home on this team. We want the person who does it right when no one is watching, who finishes what they start, and who is a little annoyed by their own unfinished work. If that's not you, you already know, and this will save us both time.

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO

Close deals. Talk to people who want their space cleaned and turn them into paying customers. Negotiate, handle objections, win. Recurring customers and raving fans are the engine of this company. One-time cleans are not. Turning the customer into a fan and a long-term friend is the goal!

Own escalations. When a customer is upset, you step in, take the heat, fix it, and save the relationship. People feel handled when they deal with you.

Run the day. Keep jobs on track, connect customers and cleaners, put out the small fires before they become big ones.
Lead the crew. Not babysit — lead. Set the standard, hold the line, help people win.

Upgrade the machine. Spot what's slow or broken and build a better way. Solve a problem once so it never comes back.

WHO YOU ARE

Happy. Real energy. People feel better after talking to you. This matters more than you'd guess.
Hungry. You want to grow, earn, and build something real. Coasting bores you.
Humble. You take hard feedback like a pro and never think you're above the work.
Sharp. Fast learner. You connect dots other people walk right past.
A leader. You've led something — a team, a shift, a project — and you were good at it. People follow you without being told to.
A self-development junkie. Books, courses, podcasts — nobody has to push you. You sharpen your craft on your own time because you actually enjoy it.
Growth mindset. "I don't know how yet." Every setback is just data.

WHY THIS BEATS A CORPORATE JOB
No red tape. No politics. No pretending to look busy. We move fast, we have fun, we treat people like adults, and we keep score honestly. You'll work directly with the owner and have a real seat at the table as we scale nationwide. The people who join early and perform are the people who lead our future locations. We build leaders here — that's the entire point.

THE HONEST PART
This is demanding. Customers can be hard, days get chaotic, and you'll be trusted with a lot, fast. If you want easy and quiet, we are not it. If you want to be pushed, to grow, to earn, and to help build something that becomes a household name across America — welcome home.

Cleaning, home-services, dispatch, or field-team experience is a real plus. But we'll take a phenomenal leader and teach them cleaning over someone who knows cleaning but can't lead. Both? Even better.

HOW TO APPLY (this is the tryout — you're going to close us on camera)
We're a sales team. So don't type us an essay — we won't read a wall of text, and neither will your future customers. Get on camera and close us. If you can't close us on hiring you, you can't close the people who pay us. It's that simple.

Two things — that's the whole application:

-Put the word DESERT in the first line of your message so we know you read this. No DESERT, no reply. (Test #1 — passed or failed before we even hit play.)

-Record a 2–3 minute video of YOURSELF ON CAMERA — face visible. Not a voice-only clip. Not just your screen. You, talking to the lens like it's a customer who just said "let me think about it." Loom, YouTube unlisted, Google Drive — paste the link. In it, close us:
1. Who you are and why you're a leader, not an order-taker. Ten seconds. Don't ramble — tight is a skill.
2. One time you turned an angry customer or a bad situation completely around. Specifics. What you did, how it ended.
3. What you're doing right now to get better at your craft — the last book, course, or podcast you finished and the one thing you actually changed.
4. Then close. Ask us for the job. Handle the objection out loud: "Why you over everyone else applying?" Sell us. Don't be shy — that's the entire test.

No cover letter. No essay. If the video isn't there — or it's a black screen with a voice — we skip it, no exceptions. The people who won't get on camera are exactly the people we don't want on the phone.

We watch every video that comes in with DESERT. Show us the close.

Let's go build something big.

— The Greater Phoenix Cleaning Team
