VIDEO EDITOR NEEDED — SPEAKER SIZZLE REEL + AI/GREEN SCREEN EXPERT

I’m looking for an experienced video editor who specializes in speaker sizzle reels, keynote/speaker videos, or similar high-energy promotional videos.

I already have a professionally produced speaker sizzle reel that is under 3 minutes long, and I want to keep the majority of the existing edit intact. I need someone who can make a handful of additions and refinements while maintaining the quality, pacing, music, and energy of the existing reel.

A Little About the Project

I used to do a lot of speaking around the country, but I took some time away from speaking to focus on being a mom.

I'm now getting back into speaking and want to update my existing reel so it reflects where I am today and gives me something strong to use as I start booking speaking engagements again.

WHAT I NEED

The existing reel has music and applause layered into the audio. I need to add several new clips without making the new footage feel like it was simply dropped into the existing video.

The editor needs to be comfortable with:

1. AI Audio Separation / Audio Editing

Some of the footage I need to add already has music and/or applause overlaid.

I need someone who knows how to use AI audio separation tools or other professional techniques to isolate/remove existing music and applause, so that we can work with the underlying speech/audio.

Then, once the clips are edited into the reel, you should be able to restore/reintegrate appropriate music and applause so the finished piece sounds cohesive.

This is an important part of the job. I'm specifically looking for someone who has actually done this before — not someone who simply knows that AI audio tools exist.

2. Green Screen / Background Replacement

Several of the new clips were shot on a green screen.

You need to be very comfortable with professional green-screen keying and background replacement.

In particular, I need someone who understands how to eliminate the green halo/spill around hair, clothing, and the edges of the subject so the final footage looks like I was genuinely filmed on a stage.

You may use:

Adobe After Effects
Premiere Pro
AI video tools
Professional keying/rotoscoping techniques
Other high-end tools you are experienced with

The end result needs to look realistic — not like an obvious green-screen composite.

3. Realistic Stage Backgrounds

You should know how to take a green-screen speaker clip and place it into a realistic stage environment, including getting the:

Perspective
Scale
Lighting
Color
Shadows
Edge treatment
Background blur/depth
Overall integration

to look believable.

THE TRIAL PROJECT

Before hiring for the full project, I want to do a small paid trial/project.

I will provide one of the clips that needs to be added to the reel.

Your job will be to:

Take that green-screen clip and place me into a realistic-looking stage environment so that it looks like I was actually speaking on that stage.

That's it.

If you already have the skills I'm looking for, this should be a relatively quick project.

I'm NOT looking for someone to spend hours creating an elaborate new video for the trial. I want to see whether you can make the footage look professionally shot on a real stage.

If the trial looks good, I will move forward with the editor to integrate the clips into the complete sizzle reel.

WHO I'M LOOKING FOR

I'm looking for someone who has actual experience editing speaker sizzle reels, keynote reels, event reels, promotional videos, or similar work.

You should have an excellent eye for:

Pacing
Storytelling
Music
Timing
Cutting on action
Audience reactions
Applause
Speaker energy
Professional presentation
Making someone look compelling on stage

Technical ability is important, but so is taste.

I don't want someone who simply knows how to operate Premiere.

I want someone who understands why a speaker reel works.

POTENTIAL FOR ONGOING WORK

This project could lead to significantly more work.

If this goes well, I will likely be looking for a regular video editor for my social media content in the near future.

That would be a more ongoing relationship involving short-form videos, social media content, clips, reels, and other video projects.

So while this initial job is specifically focused on my speaker sizzle reel, I'm interested in finding someone who could potentially become my go-to editor.
