About the Role
Research top Etsy shops and their listings in a specific niche, and report back what they have in common — the patterns behind what makes them successful.
Niko is preparing to open a custom-portrait Etsy business. This research will help build a stronger, differentiated shop informed by what's already working in the category.
Research 20+ leading Etsy custom-portrait shops and 100+ listings using a US Etsy view. Identify evidence-backed patterns behind successful shops and listings to inform a stronger new custom-portrait Etsy business.
What You'll Do
- Study top shops and listings in an assigned niche
- Identify the common patterns across them
- Back every finding with 2-3 screenshot or text examples
- Deliver everything in one organized spreadsheet (patterns + raw data)
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear written English
- Etsy or e-commerce research experience (a plus, not required)
Tools You'll Need
- An Etsy account — your own, or one I provide
- A US-based VPN (required)
Estimated Time & Deadline
- Expected to take 1-3 days depending on part-time or full-time status
- Deadline: 5 days from start date
