YouTube Business/Finance Scriptwriter + Voiceover Artist
Confidential employer
I’m looking for a researcher/scriptwriter who can also provide the voiceover for a new animated YouTube channel focused on the real money behind businesses.
The videos investigate questions such as:
“How much does a McDonald’s owner actually make?”
“How much does a laundromat actually make?”
“Where does the money really go when you own a car wash?”
This is NOT a generic personal-finance/advice channel. The goal is to investigate how businesses actually make money, what they cost to operate, where the revenue goes, and what owners may ultimately keep.
Scripts should be approximately 1,250–1,400 words and written for an entertaining 8–10 minute animated YouTube video.
I’m looking for someone who can:
- Research business models and financial information thoroughly
- Find credible sources for revenue, expenses, franchise fees, margins, startup costs, etc.
- Clearly distinguish revenue from profit
- Avoid exaggerated or misleading financial claims
- Turn numbers and research into an entertaining story rather than simply listing statistics
- Write strong hooks and maintain curiosity throughout the script
- Explain financial concepts in simple language
- Provide sources used for important factual/financial claims
- Produce a natural, engaging voiceover of the finished script
Voiceover: The channel will have a recurring older male cartoon host with a funny/eccentric personality. I’m looking for a voice that can fit that character while still sounding natural and credible when discussing business and money.
You must be able to provide both the finished script AND finished voiceover.
This will initially be 1–2 videos per month, with the possibility of becoming consistent long-term work if the channel performs well.
To apply, please send:
1. Examples of YouTube scripts you’ve written
2. A sample of your voiceover work
3. Your price for script + voiceover per video
4. Your typical turnaround time
Please start your application with MR. GOOBLER so I know you read the entire post.
