About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and preparing legal documents for Family Law matters.
  • Filing documents with courts and other relevant authorities.
  • Managing case files and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, including updates and correspondence.
  • Assisting with reception duties, including answering phone calls and greeting clients.
  • Performing general administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the firm.
  • Handling Wills & Estate or Probate matters.
  • Utilising legal practice management software, including LEAP and Smokeball, for case management and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working within a law firm, with direct exposure to Australian Family Law and/or Wills, Estates, and Probate.
  • Demonstrated experience using LEAP or Smokeball legal practice management software (highly preferred).
  • Proven familiarity with Australian court filing procedures, legal processes, and the drafting of standard legal documents (e.g., divorc e applications, consent orders, or probate documents)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of providing empathetic and professional client service.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office technology.
